Aguila de cola blanca - Haliaeetus albicilla - Muy triste todo lo ocurrido

La cámara del nido del águila de cola blanca se encuentra en el Parque Nacional Matsalu, en el oeste de Estonia. Es el territorio de reproducción del águila de cola blanca más antiguo que se conoce en Estonia: ¡los primeros registros de este se remontan a 1870!
Seguimos a esta pareja de águilas por primera vez con una cámara. 1er huevo - 20 de marzo; 2do huevo - 24 de marzo. 1er aguilucho - 28 de abril; 2do aguilucho - 30 de abril. Ambos polluelos fallecieron el 12 y 13 de mayo. La causa de la muerte fue la influenza aviar H5N1.

The white-tailed eagle's nest chamber is located in the Matsalu National Park in western Estonia. It is the oldest known breeding territory of the white-tailed eagle in Estonia: the first records of this date back to 1870!
We followed this pair of eagles for the first time with a camera. 1st egg - March 20; 2nd egg - March 24. 1st harrier - April 28; 2nd harrier - April 30. Both chicks died on May 12 and 13. The cause of death was H5N1 avian influenza.

So, no matter what birds nest you watch, depending on the species you see the exact same parenting happening. Yes, life in the wild is cruel, but the birds are not feeling sad. Those eagles wont even have an idea that people here are weeping for their loss. Perhaps if everyone of us starts to put some feed in open outside our houses for these magnificent birds, our generations can witness them otherwise they ll be gone soon

I work for a raptor center, and Eagles are doing fine. They’re not even endangered. Putting out “feed” will do nothing for raptors, as they eat fish and meat. In fact, they’re more likely to feed on the songbirds the feed would attract. Having said that, birds of prey, and most predators, have a tough life. Between human interference, natural predators, weather, etc., it’s a very tough existence. That’s why I do what I do. The #1 reason we get injured raptors for rehab is hit by car, and #1 is gunshot, if you can believe that. Untold thousands of raptors are injured because of flying into windows. Because of these man-made obstacles, we owe them a second chance. Large windows should have some kind of tape or something that alerts the birds of the obstacle. There’s lots we can do, but they have to feed themselves, with the exception of when they’re in rehab. We also feed young birds for a while from “hack towers” until they can hunt for themselves.

Здравствуйте. Это грустно 😞 но когда я увидел как орлы приносят окровавленных птиц-жертв чтобы накормить своих же , жертв у которых тоже остались птенчики в ожидании корма то грусть прошла и я понял что много боли и в мире животных и это борьба за выживание. Хорошего вам дня
