Yoongi has said many times that other "rappers" in the idol music industry are lucky he chose to be in a kpop group, that it was a service to them because he's too big for the industry anyway. And he's right. Manu idol groups have rappers, but there are truthfully none that compare to BTS' rapline, solo and with BTS. They are true hip hop and yet so versatile they will throw vocals at you too. They write, produce, and record their own projects. This man gave so much to his career. Kings. You would love RM's solo work. RM is also from BTS. I recommend starting with "Do You" or "Joker" or "Persona". They are all amazing. If you want a cypher with all 3 rappers from BTS, they have a cypher series. Just search BTS Cypher. There's 4 of them and all are fire.

Agust D is Dt Suga backwards... hence the name... yoongi always coming through with doubles and triples. This man writes like 300 songs a year and I know this is a HUGE claim but he really reminds me of Eminem... not just his attitude or style of raps... but it’s just everything about who he is, how he came up.. his journey was rough as hell... I mean BTS was initially supposed to be a hip hop group and that’s what they signed up for the earliest ones but the ceo changed his mind and wanted to bring the hot rappers to the insane vocalists and powerful dancers to create a super group that can do any genre you can imagine and leave those jaws dropped. He’s got that internal struggle that reminds me of em... he plays with lyrics in so many ways and something I don’t think people can even grasp if you don’t really know about song writing in 2 different languages in one song. They don’t pick random words that they want in English and ones in Korean... the thing that I find so fascinating is that on the surface you read one line and it’s a double... but beyond that... the specific word choices they use and phrases like let’s say it’s Korean phrase... but the way they say it... it sounds like they’re saying something else on English... like jennie from black pink in her song called solo says “bichi naunen solo,” but she says it it sounds like “bitch I am solo,” or other phrases but people think she’s saying bitch instead of “bichi” bc technically she is by pronouncing the “tch” sound even though in Korean that is not technically how you say it. So when English speaking listeners hear them we can mistakenly think that’s an English part and I’ve seen this happen so many times with so many songs... yoongi definitely does it a lot and it’s just so smart writing when you want to appeal to other countries who speak different languages. He really is such a special artist and kinda gets pushed aside sometimes bc he’s pretty quiet in person and he’s not super high energy unless performing... something else I really love about him is that almost all their songs have some choreo except the rap line stuff or solos I believe but mostly they do group stuff so there’s a lot of dance moves they have to do when that was nowhere even on their list of wanting to do lol but yoongi, or suga or agust d used to bboy and had a bad accident that made it basically stop for so long that he couldn’t get back into it with all the bts training and stuff as well... but in shows so many times when he raps he just goes off and there go his bboy feet and it’s such a different vibe than anything else they do... like he knows there is choreo but he’s going off and it hyped me up every single time. Eminem is one of my favorite rappers from when I was younger and grew up listening to him... and many will say I’m wrong about this but it’s pretty openly used to describe him when people really get to hear and see him perform ... and I really am so reminded of me being a kid listening to Eminem and that same angst, anger, self loathing, or the fuck you im tearing shit up so join or get out of the way vibe lol you can hear in his voice what he’s saying even if you don’t know the words bc he’s got this voice that translates that emotion and I hope I can see him live one day!
