Suga/AugustD is ranked in the top 3 fastest rappers in Korea. In one of his songs he rapped 114 syllables in 14 seconds. He went even faster on a radio show. You can find the clip on KZbin. The impressive thing about rapping in Korean is the greater number of syllables in a lot of their words. He took and still takes a LOT of hate from the rap scene because he came up in the underground rap scene. There is an interview with him and Rap Monster taking so much shit from other rappers telling them they could have succeeded in rap but went kpop and called them girls. The fucked up thing is he was asked to produce a lot of musical for rappers that insulted him and he was never paid for his work. One of the men who talked shit in that same interview actually auditioned to join BTS but was denied. He came up struggling for years and he paid his dues.

Also, I am not aware that a producer from Bighit would be the one giving him that name, I think Yoongi has picked it by himself by joining first syllables of "shooting guard" in Hangul ( Korean) which was his basketball position when he used to play and he ended up with Suga ( SU + GA). I am sorry for nitpicking like this but Mr. Min Yoongi happens to be my bias in BTS and a soul wizard of healing so I tend to go overboard :-) Apologies if it comes across as redundant nagging. I believe that in this song, he's mainly throwing shade to the rappers who were once his friends but turned their backs on him when he joined BTS. Him and RM were underground rappers before BTS and they received a whole lot of backlash from the underground rap community when they joined Bighit. Everybody said that they were conflicting the rap traditions and that they were no longer considered real rappers. "Agust D" was an answer to them "y'all fried rappers should be glad I'm a pop idol", and tbh what an answer lmao I don't think he's insulting all the other rappers because Yoongi is really humble and respectful when it comes to the work of others. However, when it's about injustice or people who were responsable for his past struggles during his early days, he can be quite the savage one, I wouldn't want to mess with himm
