Daechwita is a traditional Korean music style used for processions of royalty and the artist, Suga (August D), is a rapper who is part of the popular idol group BTS. He is one of three rappers and is known in the underground Korean rap industry for his insane rap speeds and pronunciation (see 'August D' by August D MV). This song, if you turn on the captions, is mostly dissing other rappers who try to belittle him because he's an idol. The video shows two parts of him, his humble side as the people and his side as a powerful, cruel king. The video is a battle between the two parts of him. Daechwita is the music that would play in the old days in Korea when the king was coming, so he’s basically saying play the Daechwita because the king has arrived. The king in this video represents his ego, which his success has made fame and power hungry. So the ego is trying to kill the real him, the person he is without all the fame and recognition. In the end he has to try to kill his ego before it kills him. I think it is fair to point out that Agust D is Suga of BTS. While he is a top of the line writer, producer, and rapper in his own right, his original solo works which he has put out in mixtapes is not strictly him operating on his own. I noticed some "authoritative" commenters try to portray his Agust D works and his solo existence as if it is totally divorced from his inclusion in BTS. Actually the works of Suga attributed to Agust D were created within a studio run by BTS's management company Big Hit. He receives equipment use, production assistance, and creative advice from Big Hit staffers and indeed the Big Hit CEO because he is a BTS member. The song Daechwita actually has a verbal and visual shoutout to the Big Hit CEO. Big Hit has significant involvement in video production elements and resourcing for the music video , but typically forgoes applying the corporate logo to individual mixtape works of BTS members as an artistic courtesy. Having them work comfortably and with support ultimately promotes the BTS brand. Also, Suga to the best of my knowledge always uses the Suga name, not the Agust D name, when he produces, writes or performs on other artist's works which most probably occur often outside Big Hit studios. In conclusion, I wish people would stop feeling compelled to authoritatively divorce Suga from his BTS existence when he writes as Agust D. In Cypher 3 he raps "S-U-G-A a.k.a Agust D, My second name". Actually his third because his mother did not name him Suga. He is an individual talent but as he says in his Agust D rap "The Last" I’ve denied my nature many times. My address is idol and I won’t deny". He accepts his being an idol even if he puts out separate works as Agust D. While he may have elected to do his mixtape work as Agust D, he even as Agust D has never strayed far from his BTS identity creating a performance name in Agust D which is derived from his BTS performance name, just reversing the letters in Suga.
