I'm 67 Japanese BTS ARMY and I have been listening music of professor Ryuichi Sakamoto for 40 years. Suga met professor Ryuichi Sakamoto September 2022. Also Suga knew Professor had terminal cancer before Suga met him.

The guy singing with Suga is Woosung. He is the lead singer of The Rose, a Korean band. Ryuchi Sakamoto is one of Suga's heros and sadly passed away not long after their meeting. He is an ocscar winner and composed for The Last Emperor and more recently The Revenant. If you read the lyrics of this song Suga actually made it to give comfort to other junior idols hoping it will give them the reassurance BTS never had on the come up.💜

Ryuichi Sakamoto is an Oscar award winning composer and pianist!!!! He also composed and scored the music for Snooze!!!!! He is and was a mentor to Suga, a pianist!!!!!!! Sakamoto passed away in winter 2023, before the release of Suga's Agust D D-Day album!!!!! You'll see him with Suga in the video, composing the music on the piano!!!! Watch and compare Suga's live SeeSaw performance with his D-Day concert live acoustic, with guitar, performance of Seesaw!!!!!

That's WooSung, lead singer of the k-rock band The Rose!!!!!! Suga and he are friends and Suga asked him to write and sing the hook, as WooSung's band mates were completing their Korean mandatory military service!!!!! The Rose is fabulous!!!!! 🤩 😍 🤩

Ryuichi Sakamoto was a world renowned musician/composer. Suga told us that back when he was 12 he went with his family to the cinema to watch "The Last Emperor" and he remembers that he fell in love with his music and wanted to make music too. Since then, Prof. Sakamoto became one of his muses. Sakamoto was a composer but also an excellent actor. I would recommend to watch the movie from the '80's "Furyo - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence", a war movie. But so, so good and so, so sad. Sakamoto composed the score there too. Before knowing there was a collaboration ongoing , Suga published a video of him playing on piano a cover of "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" and his "Seesaw" demo version: besides the sweet tribute to the composer we knew he loved, I could not stop thinking "What if......" with a lot of hope. Well, I was rewarded! Sadly, professor Sakamoto passed away a few days before the release of the album. The family, and Suga himself, spread the news a few days after his passing. May he rest in peace, he will never be forgotten 💜

This is a fanmade video, a really good one by the way. The concert scene is from a BTS concert. Agust D concert was lit but on a different level. I love this song so much.

We like longer videos, we like when people pay attention to lyrics and MV's and get the songs meaning, we like when people explore and find out more, look things up,look up lyrics further, do multiple videos etc etc. Don't worry about making videos too long. SUGA is a producer of the biggest group in the world as well as to other top artists. As you could see in the video he brings things with him so he can write and produce everywhere. He does it on tour, on "vacation", at home, everywhere. If you search on YT or ask someone to find it for you you can probably find videos on his studio and equipment etc. And yes he can play multiple instruments, mainly piano.

Thank you for reacting to my favorite Agust D song. Ryuichi Sakamoto is an Oscar winning composer for the score in the Oscar winning movie "The Last Emperor" in 1987. It had always been a dream of SUGA's to we work Ryuichi. Unfortunately, Ryuichi Sakamoto passed away a month before the release of this song on SUGA/Agust D's D-Day album that came out last year. The vocal artist, Woo-sung, is from a Korean indie rock band called "The Rose," and they are an AMAZING group. 💜

This is one of my favourite BTS songs for when I need comfort. This and 0 O'CLOCK. Suga has won awards for producing other artists. He's been producing since his teens. Suga is a beautiful pianist and good enough on guitar to play it in his concerts. RM says Sugar writes songs every day. Suga says no he only writes about 300 songs a year. He is one of the main producers of BTS. Woosung is the lead singer of THE ROSE has great versitility in vocal styling but this was exceptional.. As for the great Sakamoto rest in peace.( you may recognise his Oscar wining music score for MERRY CHRISTMAS MR LAWRENCE and The Last Emperor? BTS not only are yhe best but they can pick and chose who they work with. Such is the respect with which they are held by musicians and artists.

Woosung is from the Korean rock band The Rose Check out their song Back To Me. They write their own music and are very talented. Suga plays piano/keyboard, guitar and drums. Ryuichi Sakomoto was a Composer that influenced Suga to love piano. I like the way you check out things, don't worry if it makes the video longer, it shows you are actually interested and paying attention. Yes, their concerts are like that... the energy is insane. We got our first member back from the military today... Jin has been discharged...

One of the most impactful songs he has written. It often brings me to tears. I have been a fan of Sakamoto since the 80s and it was a heartbreaking dream to see this was the final song he worked on before passing. I learned about Woosong from this and now adore The Rose his band. Suga out everything into and performing it live he has broken down crying barely able to make it through this song it’s the most powerful thing I’ve seen, him on guitar pushing through with tears streaming down his eyes.

Woosung from The Rose, Korean Rock Band. He's the lead singer. Riuchi Sakamoto was a Japanese pianist/composer, and Yoongi's inspiration to make music at a young age - Piano Music. Yes, BTS concerts are like that. And Suga's concerts are just as lit.

Yoongi wrote this song for his younger artist to encourage them because when he was a beginner in this field, he did not find anyone to encourage or advise him. He faced many difficulties and went through many difficult times. When he sang snooze at the end of his tour, he burst into tears and could not complete the song , A song with great meaning to him and to us..

This song is such a generous gift for up and coming artists chasing their dreams, Suga/AgustD's message of encouragement and support was something he and BTS never got from their seniors in the industry and it's such an amazing piece of music with 3 great artists and a great producer at their best, love it.

He only started learning how to play the guitar recently, but he kept practicing before his solo tour and actually played live on stage. He can also play the piano/keyboard since he was young and has an older song called First Love about his relationship with music and his piano.

Hell yes, Suga's (Agust D) a professional and that's a real studio. He's a rapper as fast as Eminem, and has written/produced more than half of BTS's songs. He plays piano and guitar which helps with composing. Woosung is from the Rose and Dr. Sakamoto is an Oscar-winning composer who died before Suga completed this song. He produces for artists on both sides of the Pacific as well. I hope you get on with some BTS, they are #1 and Suga's musical genius is a big part of that.

Just found you, and love how you love our Yoongi. Sakamoto is the one who died and is super famous amazing composer. Did music for The Last Emperor and Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence... both scores are phenomenal. Yoongi was such a huge fan of his and got to meet him when he worked on this, he contributed to that "dreamy" piano synth you were referencing. Woosung from "The Rose" is the one who sang the harmony. This song is one of my all-time faves. The whole production of this is fire. But pretty much anything Agust D does is fire! Appreciate you checking out these boys and giving them a chance. They are so versatile. Seriously no genre off-limits, as I'm sure you've seen. Every time they drop a new song or album (as a group or as solos) you never know what sound it is going to be. It is such a fun journey to follow this guys. Jeff Goldblum is the late great Japanese composer Ryuchi Sakamoto, who passed away shortly after this recording. The slider is Woosung, lead singer and guitarist for The Rose. You should definitely put The Rose on your "to Do" list ASAP. Just anything by them or Woosung's solo albums. It's all good. Very. Very. Good.

I cry everytime I hear it because I know Suga is wanting to help others, regardless of career, to not feel the pain he went through!!!! Suga is such a giving person!!!!

Thanks for your sincere reaction this is a very special song for many, Yoongi is very talented and his music always have a deep meaning, Woosung is one of the lead singer of the K-Rock band The Rose and they have make this beautiful song. Ryuchi Sakamoto was a great japanese composer and Yoongi have been his fan. he passed shortly after meeting Suga. This have a long history. But this theme is very special.

I’m sooooo happy you listened to this! And yes, yoongi’s shows alone are wild. This man is an unhinged rapper on stage, I love it. I watched his road to d-day doc and he was ecstatic meeting Mr. Sakamoto. It was nice to see someone meet an idol of theirs.

Woosung aka Sammy is Korean American, lead singer for the k-band The Rose. Highly recommend! Listen to “Back To Me” asap! Ryuichi Sakamoto was a Japanese artist Yoongi deeply respected and he knew was ill, so they got to work together on this song as pretty much Sakamoto Sama’s last project.

The vocalist is Woosang from a Korean band called The Rose, very much worth investigating. Sakamoto was a master of Japanese music, highly respected, he died a few weeks after this was recorded. Suga is not just a rapper, musician, songwriter, producer, but even produces for other artists.

Yes , suga like NF too , he recommended songs from him from his Spotify playlist like Motto. I would like them to work together in a song like that , it would be so good. But right now we only know he had contact with Logic , like they hang out in his studio in LA like couple years ago , before he said he would retired, but still haven’t dropped.
