Agust d is the alter ego of suga of bts. In 2013, bts debuted with a song called No more dream which criticised the school system that traps students dreams. They also criticised students for not having dreams of their own in the song. BTS are known for having these type of ideas in their music. A lot rebellion against society and standards and living for yourself. Which is why they have such a massive following cus they appeal to the general population who relate with such ideas. A lot of people have adopted their music and philosophy as a lifestyle. The 3 rappers of bts, Suga, RM and Jhope are the primary songwriters, composers and producers. The 4 vocalists Jin, Jimin, V and Jk are the front men of the group(depends on the style of song.) They have a massive discography from 2013, starting with the Skool trilogy which is about the difficult pressuring education system of students in korea and also young love. In 2015 they transitioned to talking about young adults and pressures faced by youth and living free. Each year bts progressively explored the life that's lived by people their age. It's an insanely intricate well connected discography. Missing out on a song is missing out part of the story when it comes to bts. If you want to explore bts music more in the future, you can approach their music in 2 ways, just to make your life easier, cus they have such a massive album content. You can start with Agust d and their solo works and then move to bts. Or you can explore bts first and then move to solo works. Either way works. Doing both at a time might be a struggle and you might get confused because there are also solo songs within the bts albums that also talks about their personal experiences. Agust d is currently on his D-day tour in the US. He just performed day 2 of his sold out arena concert. They are all incredible performers who all have 10 plus years of experience. Their shows are insane. Currently bts is on a break from group activities since 2 of the members, Jin and Jhope enlisted in mandatory sk military service after releasing songs. You might have come across this in the news... they are planning to reunite in 2025. Meanwhile before each of them enlists, we get a taste of their solo works and projects which is what the agust d tour is providing.

I liked your reaction! I always enjoy watching someone react to Agust D for the first time. He’s not only a tremendous rapper with deep and thought provoking lyrics, but he’s also a composer and producer. His solo album that just dropped, he wrote, composed, and produced it himself. He is honestly a prodigy. He is also a member of BTS (Suga, he goes by Agust D on solo projects.) The three rappers of BTS are all very talented, but Suga is my favorite. You should definitely check out more of his stuff from his latest album D-Day, along with his mixtapes Agust D and D-2. He actually performed Haegeum live on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this week and it was incredible! The interview and the skits they did together were really fun and entertaining as well.

Ah nice will yes it was a surprise finding agust d as I'm not very familiar with what is popular over there. Will check out the Jimmy fallon vid at some point

Agust D is Suga of BTS aka Min Yoongi he's a socially responsible rapper, a genius producer, and as stated above a member of BTS rap line. Agust D is Suga backwards + DT for Daegu town his place of birth.
