Basically because he got bored having to do 7 weeks of fieldwork on what they thought was an uninhabited planet, 50 witches and a child (he thought) were killed. Petulance basically. Then he gets scarred for life. No wonder he took the poison. Poor bloke. But you gotta expect some PTSD being complicit in all of that carnage. Mother Anisaya was transferring her power to Mae.

You are in denial or simply lack the ability to be objective. This show isn’t good but it isn’t because of casting or any grifter talking points. It’s the amateurish writing, poor pacing, and laughably bad dialogue that hold this show back.

As an older Star Wars fan I can tell you that many Star Wars fans also trashed episode 6 from the original trilogy and they pretty much trashed all of the prequels. They especially trashed George Lucas and Hayden Christensen until recently. Sadly, this isn't a new thing in the Star Wars community.

This is a great show SW or otherwise. It feels like another time period in Star Wars, so I don’t expect it to feel like Episode I or the Holy Trilogy. It’s not a masterpiece by any means but these are the droids that I’ve been looking for since Rogue One, Visions, Clone Wars S7 and Tales of the Jedi/Empire. I’m liking it

I was born in the great year of a new hope and I watched return of the Jedi in the theater multiple times in the 80s…I dipped for a bit after the prequels (I was 21 and partying and like everyone else my age back then the prequels wasn’t what a lot of us were hoping for buuuut I’ve grown to be more open these days…especially after Solo cause I actually enjoyed it despite the haters) but I’ve come back at Star Wars rebels and started nerding out again and I’ve watched everything SW since then and I think this my favorite Star Wars since rogue one. I was so emotionally connected to this episode 🍻🤘 fkn beautiful

19:09. Around the 3:21 mark on Episode 7 of Acolyte, Torbin echoed how I would have felt after 7 weeks on this uninhabited planet: “So there’s some plants here. Big deal.” Exactly bro. I mean I love nature but after 7 weeks on that uninhabited planet, I would be needing me a pint back on Coruscant. Then suddenly witchy women show up with child clones and Did Mother Anisaya come on to him?! 😂❤ Loving it.

I just noticed that mother Koril is of that species Darth Maul is and the Dathormirian Nightsisters that control the men. I’m just curious. It might have nothing to do with the show or the plot. I was just thinking about that randomly right now after this seventh episode.BTW, I liked this episode and the order this series is shown. It’s a damn MYSTERY!!!! 😂😂😂 Sorry, it’s because people do not still understand the concept of how these things go and they wanted everything to be answered by the third episode. I am shocked by the episode and now I have big feelings about my favorite characters ha ha 🤣 😞

I think Sol thought Mother Anaseya was transferring her essence into Mae and killing her. So he killed her before Mae fully turned into dust. Mae told Indara and Sol that “everyone must be sacrificed” during her evaluation.

@@cole71 Mae told Indara and Sol that the twins will become leaders and that “everyone must be sacrificed.” That alarmed them. Sol was worried about the twins safety. When he saw Mother Aniseya and Mae turning into dust, he killed the Mother to stop the essence transfer and save Mae.

Liked episodes 1,2 and 4-7 a lot. 6 and 7 were probably the most complete feeling episodes yet. However, I wish they could've dedicated another 15 minutes to set up the finale. I guarantee I will not be happy with a cliff hanger finale, and I just don't see how they can wrap up all the questions they've created in 35 minutes of runtime. 😢

The Jedi are not the villains here. The seventh episode shows that the events on Brendok were the tragic result of wrong decision. Tomrin as a immature Padawan wanted to leave the planet as soon as possible, therefore he acted hastily without contemplating about the consequences. Sol killed the mother out of self defense; he did not know fighting the scary smoke would kill her. And he was not strong enough to save both Mae and Osha on the broken bridge, therefore he had to choose on of them, and choosing Osha meant tragically being responsible for Mae‘s death (He could not know then that she survived the fall.).

I expected to see a guy who actually likes Star Wars, not someone who blindly likes anything with the name Star Wars on it. Henry Cavil once said things like this aren’t negativity, it’s passion. People who actually care about the stories, universe, and continuity. If this didn’t have Star Wars on it, the choices everyone makes didn’t make any sense from any logical person. Jedi, Sol especially from what I’ve seen, first instinct shouldn’t have been KILL. You wouldn’t have done that and you’re not a trained Jedi.

The fact that you can continue to sit here and completely ignore, deny, or whatever you wanna call it, the absolutely horrid writing, dialogue, character development, etc blows my mind. What’s even worse is no matter what when someone says something negative about the show you come back with some snarky saying like “what are you talking about, did we watch the same thing”. Like bro, it’s okay to admit some things were bad, and just bc someone says they don’t think it’s good doesn’t automatically make them a hater, bc at the end of the day it truly does have a good amount of faults that should be criticized. If you are just a “yes man” to everything then nothing will change, and idk about you, but I want to see better films, I’m tired of these horrible shows and movies and the only way we could possibly get them to be better is to properly criticize them
