Hey man.. if you dont opt for the pin lock, then nothing in your field of vision in full tuck, right? Great review btw! Just ordered a k1s!
@BoostedBunny Жыл бұрын
I think it won't be in yiur line of vision in a full tuck without a Pinlock. For street riding it has been phenomenal minus it's loud but it's such a great helmet for the price. Tell me how you like the S when it comes in!

Yeah. Pin locks are pointless. Don't put that on. Without that, the field of vision is amazing in this model

If the helmet fits then it's a solid helmet. Still one of my favorites. I'll do reviews and comparisons soon.

Are the aero gains there at low city speeds like 40mph ? Does the aero gains make it better than the lighter shoei comfort wise ? What what speed do the aero gains start ?
@BoostedBunny6 ай бұрын
Great question. The Shoei is still aerodynamic so at city speeds it still great. I would way I felt less buffering at over 100 miles per hour. Maybe like 120mph +. So really at track speeds is when you feel it.

Ngl, I gotta say I can't understand the idea that green visor detents would clash with the red(but the blue less so?) when there are red and green accents all over the helmet already with the flags, the logos and the bulldogs.

When they are in the flag they go together but when three colors are just random they aren't complimentary to each other.

I just got the same helmet a few weeks ago and it’s giving me this weird sounds in my ears. Like the engine is ticking or something. Comes from the rear. I’ll put my head straight down like towards the tank and it sounds normal. When I raise it I hear it again. Makes the exhaust sound tinny and awful. Super annoying. Never experienced anything like it with other helmets.
@BoostedBunny Жыл бұрын
It sounds like it's just the sound getting into the helmet. It's a race-oriented helmet so having proper head position will reduce the drag and reduce the noise. A couple things to check with the helmet are: 1) Is it the right size. I often see people with Helmets that are two big. 2) Is the face shield closed all the way. Using the blue shield clips will help seal the face shield better because it's the race fit. 3) Are your air vents closed. There are 4 vents on the front of the helmet...of they are pulling in air you will hear more noise. Let me know if any of these helps.
@thatstheguy07 Жыл бұрын
@@BoostedBunny yup it’s definitely right size. I just actually opened up all the vents last night to see if that made a difference. Visor definitely all the way closed. And I actually didn’t get those extra pieces with the helmet. Bought it brand new from FortNine here in Canada. Wonder what that’s about.. Anyway thanks for the reply. I wonder if it maybe has something to do with the spots for the ear pieces on each side. I dunno man. Super weird. And annoying, since other than that it’s great.

Helmet is noisy as heck! That premium annoyance! I don't like noisy helmets, no matter how protective it is, which it actually isn't any better than other ece and dot brands out there 🤭🤭
@BoostedBunny8 ай бұрын
This helmet is nosiy compared to my Shoei RF-1200 but sportbike helmets are pretty noisy especially depending on your speeds. I suggest investing in a good set of ear plugs. I always ride with them and that helps a ton. There are quieter helmets out there but they tend to be heavier and sometimes have extra features that aren't track approved like a drop down visor. What did you mean by it isn't any better than ECE and DOT? ECE, DOT, Snell, and FIM are all pretty different when it comes to their helmet safety tests.
@aniv58338 ай бұрын
@@BoostedBunny I do wear earplugs used at noisy construction sites and concerts. But due to the noise levels I can barely hear my cardo JBL speakers at 70-80 mph. I meant, these are equally safe as any other cheaper brand that are truly ece dot certified. example - The Sedici strada helmets from cycle gear are way way quieter than these and equally safe. Their Primo line for $300 are Snell approved for track use. Their interior feels much premium than these Agv's. Only downside is, they don't look as flashy as these Agv's.
@BoostedBunny8 ай бұрын
@@aniv5833ah yes absolutely. I'll share my perspective from working in manufacturing and marketing in the CPG industry for 20 years. I agree with you on the certifications. However the more established brands typically invest more in research and often exceed these certifications vs just meet them. The quality of helmet materials are often much higher in the established brands vs like a Sedici...however that applies to the tiers in the helmet line not the price points. So a $300 Sedici will likely have more premium materials and more features than a $300 AGV but may not have higher quality construction, durability or safety. All in all...any helmet you can afford, you like, and fits you well it's going to be a good helmet IMO.
@aniv58338 ай бұрын
@@BoostedBunny True True! But these lower tier Agv's are not made by AGV in Italy, Instead in China partnered with MHR helmets, last time I checked. Of course they oversee their manufacturing processes and quality standards, but won't be close to how the Corsa's or Pista GP's are. But I totally get your perspective and agree to what you're saying 🙂
