I recently bought the K3, but I want to change the clear visor to a dark tinted visor. The store employees told me they could not find a visor and they actually ordered 2 wrong ones which didn't fit. According to my own research, The K5, K3sv visor also fits the K3. Is this true?

no they dont fit! i own both helmets k3 sv and the new one k3 e2206 and they have different visors k3 sv --> gt4-2 k3 e2206 --> gt6-2

@@altinel.98 thank you, thats exactly the info i was looking for. Thats quite unfortunate, Its a real issue to order an original visor where i am, and chinese do not make new k3 yet. Oh well.

What are the differences between k3 and k3sv? I see the sv is cheaper. Any real reason to choose the k3 over the k3 sv?

The sv has an integrated sun visor and is the older and heavier version. The K3 is it successor and newer version.

Thank you for your question! The newer standard tests at a wider range of speeds, tests the safety of accessories and includes more rotational impact testing. So, you get a helmet that has been tested and certified to a much higher baseline safety standard.

Great Review. I have the K1 and want to upgrade to the K3 because of the integrated sun visor. I wear a size small, will it be the same size for the K3, or are there any differences in sizing between the two models?

Thank you! Between the two models, there should be no differences in sizing. However, it is always a good idea to double check the size chart, or, if possible, try the helmet on in a local store to make sure that it fits comfortably.

Thank you! This helmet is more sport-touring orientated and has no FIM Certification, which is becoming mandatory at more and more race tracks.

It depends on your priorities. The K3 is technically safer but the K5-S is lighter and has slightly more premium materials inside the helmet. So for safety, buy the K3, for comfort buy the K5-S. The 5-S is still safe, it just conforms to an older standard.

I bought this helmet but I won't be getting my motorcycle yet for some time. (I plan on buying pieces of gear little by little up to when I buy my first motorcycle) Is 105 db too loud? If so, will ear plugs not help anymore? I can return any time as long as I don't damage it.

Good question. 105db should be perfectly manageable with earplugs, granted that it will be a bit louder than most of its competitors. Still, your earplugs will go a long way in preventing any type of hearing damage.

Thank you! The K3 is 50 grams heavier compared to the K3-SV which isn’t a lot. But you have to keep in mind that the K3 has the 22.06 certification and means AGV used more material to pass this test which resulted in a safer but heavier helmet.

The K3 is prepared for a universal communication system, which means you can, for example, use a Cardo but also the ARK systems from AGV

Nice video, but comfort an features side is just unlogical comparing to other helmets. It feels like you had to say something good about this helmet, so you did 'just' did it. I review helmets as well. And not all weights of helmet are correct. For example exo-520 it is not 1650gr., it is 1555gr. as per your videos.
