AGV K3 SV Helmet - Long Term Review

I've owned this AGV K3 SV, Valentino Rossi's 5 Continents Helmet, for over 4 years now! I thought I'd share my thoughts after owning it long term. Spoiler alert; I think its kinda loud and heavy..

I hope this video helps someone out! I think its kinda loud and heavy, but still a great helmet! This was a fun video to produce, trying to practice handheld camera movements and lighting for product style photography. Always learning ;P

Crashed on this helmet, bike totaled front end was gone. I was knocked the F out, don't even remember hitting the ground shows the helmet's weaker on the sides but no broken bones, had a mild concussion but still alive. Would buy helmet again I mean i crash tested the damn thing

I recently bought the chin curtain for the k3 sv and I've gotta say it's gotten a lot quieter since!

I had a crash wearing a K3 a few years ago, about 50-60mph I got a concussion. I don’t blame the helmet because I’ve had a concussion before and once you have one your more susceptible to another one

I just ordered mine and it came in yesterday. Does someone else have the problem that it clacks? I think it is the red visor releaser. It only makes the sound when the visor is all the way down, and when the red thing isnt under tention. Did anyone experience the same?

The K5 is also loud. But I always wear ear protection anyway, so that's no problem for me

I've tried ear protectors in the past and they just didn't fit right and a bit uncomfortable. Good to know about the k5 anyway! Cheers for letting me know.

I have a question. the sun and moon designed on the helmet what is his connection to VR?

That would be a question for Aldo Drudi. I am not sure, I guess it is considered his style since he used sun and moon design when he started racing

That sun comment hit hard :( I honestly wouldn't bother with a drop down sun visor again. Shoei will definitely be what I go for next, they're just class. It was between a Shoei and HJC when I got the HJC, kinda still regret my decision :D They are pricey tho! How did you hget the music to be able to use it? Class :)

I mostly use the tinted visor anyway so I never even had a chance to use the drop down! Oh man, people told me they were quiet all along but it's hard to imagine. Tbf I didn't pay much more for the Shoei compared to the agv, well worth the investment. On a plus note, I should be clear of deafness for another few years! 😁 For the music, once it's a remix of some sort, you should be clear of any copyright claims. Whatevers not on Spotify etc should be ok to use.

I've worn this on long spins around 5 or 6 hours and had no issues. It's comfortable enough that you wouldn't notice wearing it. Since this video came out, I've heard alot of good reviews on the k1 too, so might be worth checking out also.
