David Wilkerson was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade.
In 1987, David Wilkerson returned to "the crossroads of the world" to establish Times Square Church. As a pastor of the church, he faithfully led this congregation, delivering powerful biblical messages that encourage righteous living and complete reliance on God.
David Wilkerson had a strong burden to encourage and strengthen pastors throughout the world. From 1999 to 2008, he traveled around the globe holding conferences for Christian ministers.

Don't doubt your salvation! Christians we must understand that we are either born with God's Holy Spirit within us or not. According to Jeremiah 31 God said he would put His law in their minds and write it in their hearts by the giving of the Holy Spirit; "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people." - Jeremiah 31:33. Well we clearly read in the New Testament how Peter, Paul, and the disciples went around laying hands upon the Old Covenant Israelites so they could receive the spirit after it was initially given at Pentecost. The rest of us are either born with God's spirit or not. In Revelation 13:8 and again in 17:8 we learn that the New Covenant believers have their names written, past tense, in the Lamb's Book of Life before the foundation of the world, or at the crucifixion of the Lamb, which began the New Covenant. So if we love righteousness and are driven to do the right thing in spite of our sinful flesh we bear witness that God's Spirit lives within us and we need to reckon that and continue to live in a way that would bring God glory even when it seems that were the only ones doing it. The Biblical reality is that God has chosen us brothers and sisters, so let us bring light in this dark world, and let us overcome evil by doing good! (Rom 12:21). Jaime [e-mail]

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). Make that verse your mantra. Remind yourself that it is your faith that Satan is attacking via troubles. That's what he does. Try and get back to your church or join a new one. Do not isolate yourself in your troubles. That increases your vulnerability to successful attacks by Satan. Your husband and kids are grown folks; responsible for their choices. You can only pray for them and let the Holy Spirit work in their lives. Do not let their bad decisions drag you away from eternal heaven

Praying 4 you right this minute 🕶🙏 I was raised in an abusive new age cult that destroyed my family. The good news is my Grandmother willed her Bible to me - and really liked Pastor Wilkerson's Sermons and books. Dispite being "banned" contact with this beloved Grandmother, she had the last word. I opened the Bible, and left the cult (I was 44 years old). I am 60 now. It just makes the Truth that much sweeter, but I understand some of the pain you shared. Please take care.

Yes however you need balance. Wilkerson was not preaching doom , or Revelation all day. What made him effective was the mix. he's been going off on Psalm 34 and hope one day, then deliver prophecy another day. A church that preaches the whole Bible is where I like to be not one that just harps one or two parts a lot.

The genuine church, is the Gospel driven body of Christ. The true sheep know and are guided by the voice of Jesus, the Good Shepard. We have ourselves to blame for not holding fast to preaching the true Gospel. The church is the reason so many false teachers have gone out unchecked. We have not been diligent in carrying the true Gospel to the world, and some leaders have not equipped the church to carry out the Great Commission. Lord have mercy on us.

I can’t remember the exact year but around 2010 I was near death from addiction and facing years if not the rest of my life in prison for numerous dwi’s . While I was in Teen Challenge David Wilkerson was involved in a automobile accident and was taken home to be with the Lord . Although I can’t say that because of Teen Challenge my life completely changed and my addictions left me I can say that this is where a beginning of something great started . 10 years later God has blessed me more than I would ever have deserved. We have a successful business that would’ve never happened without the grace of out Holy Father in Heaven . My wife and I are in the process of adopting our granddaughter that 10 years ago would’ve been impossible. We have a Good Good Father and I’m so grateful for his mercy.

Sinner or not, Jesus died so you may be washed clean from sin, all sin, we are not to reveal each others nakedness cause that's a sin in its self, Jesus payed for all sin once and for all, repent of sin while you have the chance while you live, cause after you die you cant repent , but if you believe that Jesus died on the cross and was buried and after 3 days raised from the dead you will be saved no two ways about it.

Wilkerson was the ONLY pastor she could find...who was Truth. She had every newsletter, every tape of sermons..... She died in 2000. Yes there are a few but they aren’t the big televised churches or the big denominational churches. That has an alter call every service and are instructed to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. Then someone will be appointed to read Bible and go in the prayer room and learn to pray to God! The beginning of a strong foundation in the beginning of their new life in Christ Jesus learn to put the whole armor on and fight against the temptations of satan! That feed the hungry with the gospel as well as feed them with a free meal that they don’t leave the house of God hungry in body and soul! That there will always be someone at anytime available to help them with anything that they might need! You will not make it to heaven if you do not read the Holy Bible everyday and pray! This is how I see it Today.. The Holy Spirit as our Comforter pushing us forward with a spear from behind so that we don't stand still and get sidetracked by the world our old selves or the enemy that makes us stumble and fall off the path into darkness. When this happens it slows us down and gives us confusion and dispear and emotionally exhausted,.but as Christians we are those that stand up and remember the fact that Jesus is the truth the way and the life. We will start to see a light in the distance giving us hope that leads to faith that we can get back on the path. We start finding and seeing Jesus path that leads to Him. So we must look up above all the obstacles, failures, disappointments, and all the things this world has to offer. Look ahead and see Jesus and stay focused on Him knowing your salvation draws near. For every person this life is about the road you choose the destination is not here in this world it is in the world that is coming. The things of this world is temporary and will pass away It is like a drop of time in the ocean of eternity. For me I have to confess and repent. Jesus forgive me for being side tracked falling and stumbling in the darkness for so long not looking up and focusing on the fact that you are the way the truth and the life. May I look up in faith and follow you wherever you lead. For without faith it is impossible to please you. Your path for me leads to victory and the glorifying of your Holy, Righteous and sanctifying name.Thank you Jesus for your life, sacrifice and victory on the path less traveled. I am sorry everyone I just wrote what came from the heart and couldn't stop. I hope this might help someone like me find the path to Christ out of the darkness.

There are some really good, genuine ones! (I prayed that the Lord would lead me to good GENUINE ones, because I DETEST being "duped" by anything or ANYONE!) We don't have time to waste on Phony's and Frauds...the good, genuine ones I have found and been watching and listening to for over a year now...are Pastor Tom Hughes, and also Pastor James Kaddis. (Out of California...believe it or not.) Also, Mark Henry. And if you have never heard of MonkeyWerx...check out his KZbin Channel. He is great at keeping us updated on all the things going on all around us everyday as it relates to the Bible., etc.

I remember going to a mega church in Virginia Beach to see if it's a place I can help minister with as a youth pastor. One of the associate "pastors" told me if I was interested in being a youth pastor with them I should get a degree in Business. I walked out.

Yes, it is the mixture of Christian experience and confession, and the prosperity, cheap blessings with grace messages. I was with a Pastor six weeks back, and had mentioned a need to Prophesy and be judged by the Prophets, resident in Assembly. He told me, after past preaching the church was led by elders, and followed the Bible, that he was the CEO, and if I had a Prophecy write it out, and give it to him. I stated this was grieving the Holy Spirit. How? He said. By not permitting in assembly, with the voice, what God was clarifying through the conviction and truth we hear here in the intonations and purposes of this Voice from the near past. Repentance, the Cross, the Message, the heart changed and reoriented toward He who will Return from Above (as he left the planet). Never an accomodating Gospel, but the Gospel of One who prefaced Grace with Truth.

Good to know. It confirms what I've observed over the years: a numbers game....how many can the building bring in week to week. ...and once they are hooked, the subject of tithing comes up way too frequently. But....what about Christ and the cross and dealing with sin....? Crickets.

@@carolforestiere6677 some "actors"...(those not SERIOUS about fully committing to God), saw the wealth of televangelists, and megachurches, and wanted to cash in. The gospel is corrupted in that venue. "In the last days, they will heap unto themselves teachers...having itching ears..."

Joel Osteen and so many other rich "pastors" leading people astray. The bigger the church, the more the corruption. I've seen that first hand. These pastors are more concerned about their 501c3 tax exempt status than the Gospel of Christ.
