Curious if you guys are gonna have the usual vibration on acceleration with the aftermarket axles seeing none of them come with the vibration damper on the shafts. After going through a few of them on my TLS I ended up shilling out for the oem axles and all was great again. Wish you guys were local...seeing the steering rack on mine began leaking on the driver side too. Nice to see guys still taking their time and doing it right and clean.
@ahcgarage4 жыл бұрын
Fortunately, no vibration from these aftermarket axles. Totally agreed with you. We were originally going with the Oem axles but the driver side was on backorder so we made a last minute switch.
@LM9891404 жыл бұрын
@@ahcgarage Sweeeet! Always a great thing when aftermarket stuff actually works out right out of the box! Hope the knock over bumps is something small like a LBJ or swaybar bushings seeing endlinks are spanking new.

The driver’s aftermarket axle did give us a bit of hard time during the installation but very happy overall. We will drop our suspension noise video next week with the perfect fix 👍🏼

Hey just wanted to thank you for this series! Its been a lifesaver. Im almost done with the project but just curious which seals I need for the axles. Are both sides the same seal? I was under the impression they have different part numbers. TIA!

its super coincident that my KBP recently receive new clutch and axles along with half shaft as well. The only thing different is i used all OEM parts for axles.
@ahcgarage4 жыл бұрын
Nothing beats a new clutch and Oem parts
@sockerballer1004 жыл бұрын
Great video as always! Wish you guys had gone oem for the axles the TL is super sensitive to axles and I wouldn’t be surprised if it has issues a little down the road. Do you guys torque to final specs off camera? For example the axle nuts do you just hit with impact and that’s enough to keep on or do you torque to the 181 or whatever it is? Curious because I’m putting in oem axles in April
@ahcgarage4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your support. Since one of the OE axle was in backorder, so we went with the aftermarket units. Also, this will be a good durability test for them. We will certainly keep you guys updated. As for most of the hardware, we torqued them down off camera. Didn't want to bored everyone. You are correct on the axle/spindle nut, the torque spec is 181 lbf.ft

How much was the half shaft? I have an auto Type-S and I believe I need to replace mine because it is making grinding noises under normal acceleration. Keep up the interesting content!
@ahcgarage4 жыл бұрын
07-08 TL-S Auto half shaft MSRP is $450.10 and the OE part number is 44500-SJA-000 Hope that will help 👍🏼

How do I properly bleed the clutch fluid for the same car
@supersabrosinho4 жыл бұрын
Simply Stick a small hose in the slave cylinder nipple. Have someone inside the car pump the clutch three times. Then crack open the bleeding nipple nut for a couple of seconds. Close it again and repeat with the person pumping the clutch pedal until new fluid comes out. remember to always keep filling the master cylinder with a new fluid otherwise you're going to put air in the system

The OEM Engine Mounts are TERRIBLE! They DO NOT LAST! They BLOW OUT and the sealed oil seeps out them every 45,000 miles (A PATHETIC Lemon part To say the least for Honda OEM) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SWAPPING OUT FOR THE 60 (or 65 ply I believe are) INNOVATIVE POLYURETHANE BILLET MOUNTS! NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE! NO Rattling in dash or Nothing! I heard that even can go with the 75 ply for street. I was told do not get the 85, 95 ply or solid mounts for the street
