Not necessarily haute couture, but I like the jackets on Anthropologie and being a fall baby I got a 20% discount on anything. I just got a green velvet field jacket. Actually Cotten velveteen, which is much better for cold weather. Also, tons of cashmere sweaters at Garnet Hill and they give seasonal discounts.

I think that the material (acetat) would have been something that you could have described, sunglasses are mostly poured into a mold (not sure correct English name) instead that the frame is cut out of a plate of acetate. It’s something over the years that makes a big difference for me, not allmsunglasses from Tom Ford are quality. Acetate cuts are way more sturdy. Not only the shape or the fancyness or the fancy brand are important but also sustainability and climate.

My most used sweaters currently are BFD ($80 cream pullover is so comfy) and Aran Craft merino wool sweaters. They're made in Ireland and are pretty thick but they're great for where I live when it gets really cold and windy.
