The "Ahla-e-Iman Ki Nishaniyan" (Signs of the People of Faith) is a khutbah (sermon) delivered by Muhammad Ajmal Raza Qadri. It focuses on the traits and characteristics that define true believers (Ahl-e-Iman) in Islam. Below are the key points typically covered in such a khutbah:
1. Introduction to Iman (Faith)
Iman as the Foundation: Iman is the core of a Muslim’s identity and the source of all good deeds and actions. Without true faith, deeds are incomplete.
The Importance of True Belief: Faith in Allah, His Prophets, His Books, the Day of Judgment, and divine Qadar (destiny) is fundamental.
2. Characteristics of Ahl-e-Iman (People of Faith)
Tawheed (Oneness of Allah): True believers acknowledge the oneness of Allah in every aspect of their lives, worshiping and trusting only Him.
Love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): The love and reverence for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is central. True believers follow his teachings and strive to live according to his Sunnah.
Uprightness in Actions: The people of faith consistently display good manners, humility, and integrity in their daily lives. Their behavior is guided by Islamic ethics.
Patience and Perseverance: True believers demonstrate patience in times of adversity, knowing that hardship is a test from Allah and will lead to rewards if endured with faith.
Honesty and Truthfulness: The people of faith are honest in their dealings, speech, and commitments. They are trustworthy and avoid deceit or dishonesty in any form.
Charity and Compassion: Ahl-e-Iman show kindness and generosity toward others, especially the poor, orphans, and those in need. They follow the teachings of the Prophet in showing mercy.
3. Connection with the Qur'an
Love and Reverence for the Qur'an: True believers have a deep attachment to the Qur'an. They recite it, reflect upon its meanings, and incorporate its teachings into their lives.
Guidance from the Qur'an: The Qur'an provides the ultimate guidance for the faithful. Ahl-e-Iman seek the Qur'an for answers to life’s problems and challenges.
4. Sincerity in Worship
Prayer (Salah) as a Pillar of Faith: Salah is the main act of worship for a Muslim. Ahl-e-Iman maintain regular prayers, and their hearts are humble during worship.
Sincerity in Every Act: Every action, no matter how small, is performed with the intention to please Allah. This sincerity (Ikhlas) is the essence of Iman.
5. Humility and Avoidance of Arrogance
Humility: True believers remain humble, regardless of their status, wealth, or knowledge. Arrogance is seen as a sign of weakness in faith.
Avoiding Pride: Ahl-e-Iman do not boast or look down upon others. They understand that all blessings are from Allah and should not be taken for granted.
6. Unity Among Believers
Brotherhood in Faith: Unity is a core principle of Iman. True believers maintain strong relationships with fellow Muslims, avoiding division and striving for collective good.
Supporting Each Other: Believers support each other in both worldly and spiritual matters, ensuring the welfare of the community and each individual.
7. Following the Sunnah
Adherence to the Teachings of the Prophet: Ahl-e-Iman seek to follow the lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in all aspects, including in their dealings with family, work, and society.
Seeking Knowledge and Action: Following the Sunnah means continuously learning and applying Islamic knowledge. The people of faith constantly seek self-improvement.
