As man yields to technology his music also sounds like technology. This music is human. No buttons, no fake sounds, no gimmicks, just human. Great and thank you for bringing me home.

Has there ever been a better Standard written than Poinciana ? This was recorded in 59. Close to the time of “Live at the Pershing” on Argo. Listen to Ahmad now he plays even better. Cheers

Poinciana had been one of my favorite compositions since I first heard David Rosé’s recording from the 40s, but after hearing the Pershing recording, it instantly became my favorite version.

I would describe several portions of this performance as "metal." Seriously. What a track.
