Please do Stunted Growth episodes of [1] Anotha Level and [2] Murs. *Anotha Level* was/is a 1990s Los Angeles, California underground Hip-Hop/Rap group, produced by Ice Cube. Anotha Level consisted of members Bambino, Ced Twice, Stenge, Stix (who unfortunately passed away), and Stones. They known for their 1994 album called Anotha Level, which featured another alternative Los Angeles, California Hip-Hop group called the Pharcyde (Bootie Brown, Fatlip, SlimKid3 & Imani). *Murs* is a Los Angeles, California alternative Hip-Hop/Rap artist. Murs has multiple collaboration albums with Durham, North Carolina producer 9th Wonder (9th Wonder is also an occasional Rap artist that goes by 9thMatic), who started out with being in the alternative Durham, North Carolina based Hip-Hop group called Little Brother, at that time consisted of 9th Wonder, and currently Phonte & Rapper Big Pooh.

The fact that it’s 2024 and we’re still talking about Ahmad makes him a lot more than a one hit wonder from my vantage point. This video seemed to point all the ways in which Ahmad could have/should’ve done better I would’ve preferred just a reflection on how powerful the music has been.

The channel is called “stunted growth” for a reason. The point of every video is to explain why a particular artist didn’t reach their expected potential.

SALUTE TO STUNTED GROWTH for doing some background on this artist! I could be wrong but I think Ahmad came out with a 2nd album around 2010 or maybe mid-2010's and I heard it once. It was pretty good. I have his first self titled album! The album is going on 31 years old! Because of his story is being told on this channel I now have to start listening to it again! Thanks for this episode!

Love it. My little brother and I had a playful joke between us with that track. The saying “back in that day” became popular just in normal conversation so when someone said it while telling a story or something, he or myself would cut in with the hook…(when i was young, i not a kid anymore)……then let that person finish. Lol. Good times. Word to Bill Burr!! Respect 🙏🏾

Well #1 mistake was the label didn't allow Ahmad to drop the "you gotta be" Buckwild remix instead of the original because HOW do you trump "back in the day" without a crazy aZzz' beat on your follow up single? #2 his album was uplifting/party like vs. 94 West Coast "Gangstafied" music at its prime.

Oh, that song... _Back in the Day._ WHEW! I used to let that song loop on repeat for hours on end and be completely satisfied. Nah that I'm grown though, it's different. Giant Records, they... You know what? Imma leave that alone. I'm still kinda sour about how they mismanaged some of my favorites. ANYHOW! Nah that I'm grown, I understand that everybody's not gon be a #1 star like Uncle Snoop and them. Some artists are indeed one-hit wonders and that's ok. Sh¡t, I'd rather have one hit that's cemented inside of folks' memory bank for the rest of they life v. having nothing at all. _Back in the Day_ is all I need from Ahmad Lewis.
