Hi all. I just looked up the cost to the taxpayer for the January 6th insurrection. This is from NPR by the way, dated February 24, 2021. The information is from an interview with the present White House architect, J. Brett Blanton. At the time of the interview, Mr Blanton said that the cost of repair and added security due to the January 6 insurrection was 30 million dollars. He further suggested that cost of improvements to security (infrastructure and personnel) will continue to mount. If I can find more up to date figures I will post. Maybe in the interest of government efficiency and bringing costs down, Trump can pay that 30 million or so back to the federal government.
