Ahng(Kingship)Systems|Historic Crowning Day of TONYEI as Deputy Ahng of Sheanghah Chingnyu|Konyak

Aikam Hahkapu is an act of entronement of a prince to take up his responsibility as Ahng (kingship). This act of solemnity and its feast for Deputy Ahng is done in his field or some may do the same while constructing his house which is called Noktuhpu (feeding community feast).
During the feast, the leaders of Morungs and community elders express their gratitude for the feast and shared the words of acceptance as their Ahng.
Firing firearms and beating logdrum signifies the heralding the joy of the feast. The local community and their neighbours are being informed of the event through the heralding sounds.
