Ms. Hart! I totally have in my house what we call "The 80s shrine!!" It has my high school phone on a teal table with my roller skates under it, some yearbooks, my old boom box, some jewlery and some of my hubby's graduation stuff. Then hanging over it is a framed poster from the movie "Pump up the Volume" and a piece of unicorn art I made in jr. high. I love it!!

its all about silver linings with things like water damage, mice, mold, or other messy troubles; they often reveal and or jumpstart improvements to be made on our lives! the water damage here is in a way helping to clear the hoard; and opens your eyes that you have to clear out to make the future easier.

You've been doing a better job keeping your laundry room clean. Could you put some floating shelves above the cube units there and rotate some of your memorabilia there? Then it makes the room feel more like a display area, so it's incentive to keep it clean, plus you can see them and smile every time you go in to that room?
@porcelina9569 ай бұрын
Good job on the tossy tossy pile. Unfortunately that is what happens in basements they tend to leak.
@cat3crazy9 ай бұрын
I use to not consider myself a hoarder but... my craft room & computer room show that I am. I've wanted to clean them for years but get overwhelmed just by opening the door. I had surgery in January and wanted to come home too a fairly clean house. So I took the 4 bins I had sorted that were in the living room and shoved them into my craft room. Now there I can't go in there unless I remove the bins. Yikes! I have to finish my bedroom and maybe that will give me more incentive to get to the worse rooms.
@dreamer69439 ай бұрын
Wishing you luck on your declutter journey. I started a year ago and it does get easier with time. I've been round each area once already and some areas several times. I always end thinking I'm done, but there's always something else I can let go next time around.
@cat3crazy9 ай бұрын
@@dreamer6943 I've been putting off decluttering for so long, it's ridiculous. One of the problems I have is that my craft room is at the end of a hallway. It's narrow and difficult to get things down it. But then, I got the stuff down the hallway to put the stuff in it. It only took 30 years
