I appreciate that at least you were kind enough to explain it. I don’t mind endings that require the viewer to think, or to use a bit of imagination with, but just the use of symbols isn’t effective, in this case. Without any dialogue, there needs to be a clearer understanding at the end, what the viewer is intended to know instead of leaving too many open questions. It’s a great ending and it’s a shame it wasn’t made clearer, or at all, for the audience. 😊

Too late but here's Ending Explained from Reddit: In episode 7, the witches circle Adeline, Ivy says "You have no power other than what she gives you" then Sonia says "and takes away". So Adeline had power, it got taken away by Siobhan once she left the cult, which explains why the chant failed for her at the restaurant, because she didn't have power. Siobhan later gives Anna power when she accepts the baby and is given the green heels. Anna is able to cast the chant/ ritual at Siobhan with the power Siobhan gave her. The witches are bloodbound, and die together.

Apocalypse was interesting and gave us closure on the Michael Langdon story. Double Feature had an interesting premise from what i've seen, but i stopped watching after Hotel.

Ryan Murphy needs to let this franchise die already. While I did like NYC (probably because it felt more like ACS than AHS), and Red Tide was the best the series had been since the early days (until the finale was so horrible it actually made me angry, I didn't even try watching part 2 of Double Feature), I maybe got 3 episodes into this season before I checked out immediately. As a long time viewer (since season 2, love season 1) it's just a damn shame at this point. I used to get so excited for new seasons, but now I have no interest at all. RIP AHS. Go to the worms please.

The coven had potential. Season would have been way better if they had just spent the time fleshing it out more. Siobhan being evil needed to be less obvious in the first half for this to work. Her being in charge was the only part I wasn't really expecting. I thought we were going to see who she answers to or the source of her power. I mean, Lucifer was a character in season 2. I don't think they really explained why she was as powerful as she was, but I might've blinked and missed it.

For everyone talking about oh how it was so underwhelming listen this was actually quite the most different spin I have ever seen them do. Because if you look at their history it always comes out to be morbid a lot of times but this message was clear light defeated the darkness and I have never seen that message before betrayed on the show. I loved that in the end she defeated her despite all the evil things they did to her despite all the pressure and the pain she was able to defeat her with the power of inner light.

My favorite seasons of AHS are all the storyline that are connected to " Coven". That storyline was awesome awesome in my opinion. So I was a little satisfied with that ending because I'm like " eh at least she used some magic"! Lol. But yeah the entire season was them just torturing this girl. It just was a good few seconds where I was happy she found her power and was able to take them out.

This season was so goddamn frustrating. Like there were so many hits and just as many misses. I have nothing against him but the actor who played Dex, unnecessary. Y’all could’ve casted literally anybody who wasn’t a generic looking yt man. As per the other men I hope they bring back Maaz Ali tho bc he’s one of the most beautiful men I’ve seen on this show. For the girls I think casting Cara was a BRILLIANT choice and they wasted her character. Like she was consistently one of the best characters every time she was on the screen and they gave her like 7 minutes of screen time. Same with Michaela, I’m glad they brrought her in too. Now for Kim, she was actually a really good addition to this season but I think it’s primarily bc her character was literally her mother. With the cast aside, the story was pretty good but just very hollow, like they didn’t know how to expand off of the book. Like there is zero reason each episode should be 30 minutes long. Like that’s disrespectful. I love this show and I don’t want it to end, but unless Ryan decides he cares about this show again and steps into the primary creative position, then I fear the show might be near its end.

It would have been great if Anna turned out to be Maddison in the end since her dream was to become an actress but was terrible in it (just like Anna). I would’ve love to see a flashback in which Maddison sold her soul (or something) to Papa Legba to become famous with the only condition she would forget everything, hence she didn’t know she had powers and later realize and defeat all the other wishes. I didn’t like the end, honestly. I felt like something was missing.

I think I understood the finale (finally). •I think Anna won against Siobhan because she didn't trust and didn't love a man (a very disgusting one too). So I think her holding the baby and the Oscar is like saying "she could have it all, but only once she decides to do it by herself, without a man consent or help." •Siobhan is Yahweh, since Siobhan means "God is great" and has the same etymology of Yahweh, Joshuah, Geova, etc. In many apocryphal gospels, Yahweh or Demiurge or Satan are the same entity. So basically she's the Devil because she's Yahweh, which is not a real God, or at least, an evil one. Anna, on the other hand, becomes the new "Satan" but in a pagan and good way. •Basically, the Universe is run by Women Deities and Men are just tools to get sperm from and doing what frminine devine energy can do better: create. This time, though, Anna is going to do things differently, by herself and having it all, without a man getting on the way. •Siobhan, on the other hand, is defeated because she uses but also trusts men and has children by having segs whith them. If you get close attention, in fact, Anna is the only one surviving - I think the other witches rather died too or submitted to Anna - because she had a baby with artificial insemination, so she remained "pure" (not even Adeline survived because she got pregnant naturally). •Basically the message of this season is: DON'T HAVE A HUSBAND/BOYFRIEND AND GET WHATEVER YOU WANT BY YOURSELF, BECAUSE MEN ARE USELESS. She used both strengths and became stronger than Siobhan. Now she has it all (a baby, an Oscar, no cheating husband and both the powers from the light and the dark) so now it’s up to her to decide what she’ll do. She can potentially lead a new coven.
