Peter Jacobson is the dude that was in charge of the ship building place. Everyone recognizes him but always can not remember him. That honestly is great for an actor because that means he gets work. You would remember him from House, Billions, Colony, Ray Donovan and a host of guest starring roles and minor roles in something you have seen.

Easy way to remember the names of the dark Jedi - Dave Filoni loves wolves - the surnames are the names of the wolves who chase the sun and the moon in Norse mythology - Baylon Skoll and Shin Hati. Baylon is close to Baylor - an Irish giant wtih the evil eye and shin can mean "true", "faith" or "heart" depending on which Japanese characters are used.

Legends fan here!!! Other galaxies were actually addressed in Legends with them being a main feature of one of the most important (and controversial) series: The New Jedi Order, which featured the invasion of the Yuuzhan Vong, a very non-Disney-friendly species which came from another galaxy. Interestingly, there do seem to be some ties so far. In Legends, one could not really leave the galaxy because of some mysterious hyperspace barrier that prevented travel outside, which was believed to have been placed by the Mortis Gods (Celestials as they were called in legends). However, the Vong were able to enter the galaxy through a special spot in the Unknown Regions, which could be what they are referencing with this Pathway to Peridia. Also, the canon Thrawn novels (which I highly recommend reading) had Thrawn and the Chiss dealing with a mysterious species of unknown origins in the Unknown Regions, which has not been addressed again, so that could be a plot point in Ahsoka with Thrawn maybe convincing Ezra to help him fight.

"Are we going to get a Starkiller moment?" According to one theory you did - the Inquisitor's name is Marrok - just a little too close to Galen Marek. Of course the name could be a red herring to keep us from discerning the true identity..

4:19 "We gonna get a Starkiller moment here?" Yes literally. Starkiller is the Inquisitor that Ahsoka fights. His name is Morrock and Starkillers name is Merick. Starkiller was also trained by Darth Vader so we'll see a fight between two of his apprentices. Also, the actor who plays Starkiller is in the credits.

The only ppl from another galaxy so far in the EU were Yuuzhan Vong. Palpy was all the time preparing for their invasion, building strong army, weapons to be able to face them. It would be funny if their invasion comes in the end (even though Dave does not have enough space for it - just series and one movie). The pathway to another galaxy has been used by purrgil, that is why there are symbols around their origin galaxy. If you watch carefully, when Balon sends his apprentice to call Morgan, you can see purrgil in the clouds, meaning they are still using that pathway.

The new Inquisitor may finally actually be Galen Marek (Starkiller). And this could be the case for several reasons. Firstly, the name “Marrok” is awfully similar to Starkiller’s last name, “Marek.” Secondly, the character seems to be of a male build. Thirdly, the show has the theme of master & apprentice (Ahsoka & Sabine, Baylan & Shin, Anakin & Ahsoka, Vader & Starkiller?). Lastly, both Dave Filoni & Sam Witwer expressed their interest in bringing Starkiller into live action, with Dave even going as far as stating if he brings back the character, he would like to bring back Starkiller as an Imperial inquisitor. Or perhaps, a former imperial inquisitor (like Marrok) for all we know.

LOL, they should've pranked Sabine (and us) and told Sabine when she woke up in the bed that they had to give her a mod upgrade and her midsection is now robotic. If we do not see grandma Smols and daughter Smols in the same place at the same time, we will be led to believe they are, indeed, the same person and you ARE a master at digital de-aging, LOL! I do admit I still have to make that switch in my brain and remember this is not the animated show and many years has passed since and so, I should not expect them all to be the same. I think it would've been a nice touch if we did get to see Ahsoka try to Force-grab the hyperdrive and almost succeed, but had to let go to fight that droid. I get the feeling Filoni would've done that if he was directing. I too wonder if any mention will be made sometime later of Jacen Syndulla? LOL, maybe Mon Mothma is babysitting?? I do think that if there is anything that would give Ezra a big extra shove push to the dark side, it would be if Sabine died. It also would set up a shocker of a cliffhanger in the finale and make it very sad considering what everyone went through to get Ezra back. I do not think that would happen, but it would make for good storytelling.
@MbgFire2067
@MbgFire2067 Жыл бұрын
I don’t believe that is meant to be the same scene as from the end of Rebels but meant to evoke a similar idea. I believe it’s a callback to show there’s a new beginning between Sabine and Ahsoka. No way Dave Filoni screws up details from the Rebels series. Also, Sabine was already with Ahsoka training for a certain amount of time already.

There are definitely some differences. Interesting though that it would occur twice. I'm sure there is meaning behind it...but very creative artistry by Filoni.
@kyleruiz7167
@kyleruiz7167 Жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure it's the same, because the narration at the end of rebels concludes with the battle of endor and the empire's end and we know Sabine stayed on Lothal the whole time becauseshe thoughtthats what Ezra wanted her to do. And we know this show takes place shortly after the battle of endor. Not to mention in the narration she says that "Ezra is out there somewhere and it's time to bring him home". In these 2 episodes before their departure from lothal, Hera and Sabine thought Ezra probably was gone or dead along with thrawn. The connections are in there but it's most likely safe to say that the Lothal departure is the same one
@MbgFire2067
@MbgFire2067 Жыл бұрын
@@kyleruiz7167 then how was Sabine already with Ahsoka and trained with her on Ahsoka’s ship? You see her artistry in her rack when she’s looking around the ship right before they discuss the map at the table. There’s no way Filoni messes up the fact that Ahsoka was wearing white and had a staff at the end of Rebels. It’s too that when Sabine talks about Ezra being out there and it’s time to find him, she’s only narrating. She likely didn’t communicate any of that to Hera. I think the reason Ahsoka left Sabine was because Sabine was too attached to Ezra and possibly reckless in trying to find him. We shall see in upcoming episodes I would think.

@@MbgFire2067 because details and things have changed when it comes to live action and animation and book adaptations . Like how in season 7 of clone wars in the books Ashoka got back her green lightsabers by Anakin but in the animated show they changed them to blue. Thats just an example. As for sabine’s training they’ll probably be a backstory to that later in the series but the evidence points up to much that the second episode ending is the same as to the ending in Rebels and that the first 2 episodes is a recap/introduction to the ending of rebels. I highly doubt sabine (in the rebels epilogue) would stay at lothal all these years and Ahsoka randomly shows up after all these years and sabine at that moment just agrees to go with her. Unless there was a previous encounter between them (as i said will probably be explained later in the show) but they would not have met up the same exact way with sabine tapping her fingers on ezras face both times before she leaves

While the show does seem to have some pacing issues, we do love the direction of the show and are very intrigued by this other galaxy! And by pacing issues I do not mean the show needs constant action. A lot of the dialogue is slow and methodical and the camera lingers on shots and scenes too long. These are minor critiques especially if the story and overall production deliver. Baylan is a great character! Might end up being my favorite in this series. RIP Ray Stevenson. Can't wait for Thrawn's debut and of course my most anticipated part of the show...how will Anakin make his appearance? Force ghost? Can't wait!

I really studied literature in school and I always cringe at some observations of storytelling that the various online fandoms viewers perceive. One is pacing. Pacing is the rhythm of the entire story and how a chain of events fall. Well that is the easy Google definition. It is how slow or fast the story moves for the reader. I personally think that streaming and the ability to watch everything at once has changed how we see stories and has changed a generation of readers and visual viewers. There is no hard right or wrong pacing, there is just what you can tolerate individually. Stories are suppose to unfold over an entire arc. That arc is not going to finish quickly. However I understand how our nature of viewing shows has changed our tolerations for story development.
@smolsfamilyreactions
@smolsfamilyreactions Жыл бұрын
You also have to take into account the history of Star Wars and the creator's original directional intention of "Faster, more intense." Yes pacing can be subjective but it if it is not consistent with the rest of the show or even characters that we are familiar with then that is when I would call it an issue.

@@smolsfamilyreactions You know that is one of the love/hates I have with SW. The movies, specially the original three, were all about the roller coaster ride. My favorite SW is the original movies. Lucas tried to do the same with the prequels but the problem is we grew up. The roller coaster was fun but as I got older I realized they all lacked story and good character development. Lucas and Spielberg were great at creating that fun movie experience but to me all of their projects lacks good story building. This is what makes me wish to be a kid again.

I hear you. Andor is probably my favorite D+ show. I like slow burn shows. But there has to be a consistency within the show itself. And that is why I referred to pacing issues. The long pauses between lines and lingering on shots too long....maybe those aren't actually pacing issues as much as just director choice. I don't know. But I love story and I want the action pay offs to be earned with good story. But I also like the dialogue to be more quippy. Good story doesn't have to be earned with slow dialogue. If the scene itself warrants slow, reflective dialogue then no problem. But after rewatching these it seems that the pace of the dialogue and the camera lingering on scenes is not necessary.
