I’m still in shock over how good the ending of that episode was. When I was young I couldn’t go and see ep 3 in the cinema but remember when I was 9 years old, waiting outside a video rental store all morning to rent the vhs. These actors have been in our lives for so long so just to see them come back makes me so happy! We need more Anakin after this.

If you remember the Clone Wars episode - with the Father, the Daughter & the Son - Ahsoka was inhabited by the Daughter, so it makes sense she could go back there or be connected to the World between Worlds. Also I didn't notice it at first, but after a 2nd watch - Anakin was wearing Vaders saber on his side. So I'm wondering if it's not really Anakin, but The Son.

@schadenfreude5349 ok so originals, prequels, clone wars, rebels, FA, Rogue one, TLJ, Solo, Mando S1, Clone wars S7, TROS, Mando S2, BOBF, Kenobi, Mando S3, Ahsoka… that narrow it down? As much as I loved seeing the first appearance of Ahsoka in live action in Mando s2, it didn’t have as much of an emotional impact as the end of clone wars had on me as I was 14 when clone wars started and I followed it all the way through, so I literally grew up watching Ahsoka with her being roughly the same age when she was introduced so seeing clone wars come to an end and the character being my favourite all the way through next to Anakin, the finale had a huge emotional impact on me more than seeing her in live action for the first time. Now seeing my childhood hero Anakin back in live action with Hayden next to Ahsoka who I feel I grew up with, just seeing the two on screen in live action has more of an emotional connection to me than anything, next week is gonna be even more tears than this week

This episode is so epic. Tons of brilliant moments. I just want to point out one moment in particular that i think is going unnoticed. Everyone talks about relationships in Star Wars. Sabine immediately thought Huyang fucked something up. Ahsoka, WITHOUT HESITATION knows something is wrong and goes out to help him. The relationship between Ahsoka and Huyang has been amazing... plus the way she ignited her sabers on the way out there was badass!

Since Ahsoka died in the Mortis Realm and came back, I see her now (basically) as the living embodiment of "The Daughter". In other words, Feloni has made Ahsoka take on the role, in this universe, what Tolkien did with Gandalf in Middle Earth as a steward of the world. Which also means now that: Ahsoka.Can't.Die. Ahsoka died and came back from the Mortis realm. She (almost?) died in her duel with Vader, and Ezra was allowed to bring her back from World Between Worlds. And I honestly believed Ahsoka died when she fell off that cliff on Seatas! But like when Galadriel brought Gandalf back to life from his time in the Necromancer's castle (Dol Guldor), and the Valar brought Gandalf back to life after his fight with the Balrog, I believe Ahsoka will be "brought back to life" in on the current Star Wars plain by The Living Force. P.S. This does NOT look like the World Between Worlds in REBELS: where are the individual portals? This looks like the Realm of The Living Force, which is why Ahsoka can commune with Anakin.

I had to get over just to watch your reaction. You’re not alone; I got a little choked up seeing Anakin again, similar to when Luke got Grogu in The Mandalorian. Hayden killed it in one very short scene. This ties the Star Wars movies to The Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons and the moment that does it is when Anakin calls her “Snips.” A key moment in Star Wars history. Favreau and especially Filoni know how to do Star Wars. THAT is the kind of moments Star Wars needs. It can be done. They proved it again. They need to let Feloni and Favreau run it. If they do that, Stars Wars will work. I only wish Ahsoka had as definite a catchy theme as Star Wars. They should just used Stars Wars music, as they did for Clone Wars. Then it feels completely real.

The first 1-2 are slow and develop and the later episodes climax. Not saying that’s a good idea, but it’s to be expected at this point based on how he crafts stories

Now that the World Between Worlds has made a reappearance, I am hoping against all odds that Emperor Palpatine makes an appearance again. Not just because he would most likely be manipulating this whole Thrawn business from the shadows (just as he is doing with the Shadow Council and the future First Order), but because if anyone has an interest in the World Between Worlds, it's Darth Sidious. As Star Wars Rebels showed. Sidious later records in the canon book *_"Secrets of the Sith"_* his vow to continue pursuing this power. Control of the World Between Worlds (and thus control over all of existence itself) is Darth Sidious's ultimate goal, and as Ahsoka appears to have proven at the end of this episode, there is more than one way to gain access to it. And with the Emperor making clear his intentions to continue pursuing the power of the World Between Worlds in "Secrets of the Sith", I would love to see Star Wars's ultimate villain make at least one more attempt at it in whatever this next big story event/phase in the Star Wars universe is.

This show has most definitely been worth the wait so far, and I can't wait to see what the last few episodes have in store. (Hopefully chock-full of Thrawn!!) What an f-in cliffhanger! sure, his de-aged face looked a little wonky, but screw any haters man, that emotion on hearing "Hello Snips" is out of the park. plus the cgi is totally miles better in ep 5! that's not even mentioning all the excellent lightsaber battling we had here, the nightsister magic, the amazing presence of Ray Stevenson (RIP), and all the sweet sweet Rebels love. . . just can't believe we're actually getting this show. Halfway through and we've gotten more legit lightsaber action and coherent storytelling than the entire sequel trilogy combined

They did almost everything right with this episode Huyang put up a fight Marrok reveal that didn't rely on nostalgia and potentially makes Morgan more interesting/formidable Sabine doesn't get force powers for free and loses her rematch Getting you to root for Baylan Ahsoka loses Sabine gives into Baylan Hera doesn't arrive at the last second to save the day Anakin tease My only gripes are a few predictable/lazy lines and the Ahsoka slash through Marrok

Watching this - peak Star Wars - episode I understood a few things. Why Filoni called Ahsoka the “Gandalf of Star Wars” and how we will probably get the Rebels ending scene. Ahsoka the Grey died and will return as Ahsoka the White (100% Light Side incarnate). As for Anakin… that is not Anakin. The lightsaber hilt, the music… I like a theory saying that he is the Son (the same one who whispered to her during the first episode). But I think we will see the real Anakin (perhaps this is how Ahsoka gets over the weight/burden she has been carrying all this time. Can’t wait for next week!!

He and Shin are the muscle of this operation, even if they have their own additional motives for working for her. I had a lot of theories last night, there was something in the first episode of the son of mortis spoke to Ashoka cause of the daughter of mortis living inside her. The Son of mortis can morph his body into someone else so because Ashoka used her anger when she thought Sabine was killed. The Son was using Anakin to speak to her hence the Vader music at the end
