Finally got my copy of the core set for X-Wing. Played it with my wife last night and we had fun, apart from the confusion of learning a new game😂 Anyway, your videos have fed my recent obsession with this game and helped showcase what I should get next. I plan on getting either the Y-Wing or B-Wing next. I’m excited to get more into it

Hey! That’s awesome! I’m not sure if you know, but table top simulator is an excellent place to practice some xwing games and ships for free. The only thing you need to buy is the table top sim itself. Hope you have a good experience with xwing. :)

Just as you I missed the ship on day one and went way earlier on day 2 to get one. I was lucky enough to get it. I also think the cards are special. The backside of the ship cards are full art instead of the republic logo.

I thought this was something FFG learned but apparently they didn't pass this on to AMG. FFG gave people not attending a chance at previous exclusives. Even with that all this does is had money to scalpers who don't care and flip them for hundreds of dollars and make it harder for real fans to get.

I will now Start with Star Wars Armada and i want to collect the Republik fleet, for X-Wing i have a big Rebell Fleet and a little Resistance Fleet, i like both games. Thank you for your Videos in the past and in the Future, you Help me alot. I dont paint my ships for X- Wing , and i am happy that they are pre painted and very nice painted i think.

I'm torn on exclusives. Coming from action figures, depending on the store, it's mostly okay online (Walgreen's bad, Target is getting better, Walmart is normally pretty good)... Event-exclusive releases are not so great. Like an alternate version of a card is fine, something unique on an already available release is fine... I know that a unique paint job that's mostly similar isn't the most out there exclusive, but most people aren't able to travel to conventions, etc., and that's a feel bad when it's a really cool exclusive and you see scalpers selling them for a significant upcharge. With all of the painting I do for Legion, Warhammer, Crisis Protocol, ASOIAF, and random other games, I avoid painting X-Wing, Armada, and other pre-painted stuff. I think the best way to do exclusives is like the Star Wars Black Series SDCC Captain Rex or Sith Trooper, where you just get some additional guns. I don't know how Legion could do something similar but... I'm probably just salty because I really like the convention-exclusive stuff from FFG/AMG (the Legion Snowspeeder Luke and this). I don't know. I'm a believer in everyone should be able to pickup anything they want for the most part. There's really no need for exclusives except to create artificial value (this goes for any collectible), which shouldn't affect the company selling the item at all.

Find out what game is played localy. Xwing has a larger player base but Armada has some great communities out there too. Xwing is still getting new ship expansions and regular updates while Armada is not (but did have print and play updates released a couole months ago). Get a demo game of each and see which one you prefer.

Did you pick up the Outer Rim Unfinished Business expansion at Celebration? Can you do an unboxing? I have it pre-ordered but the official release date isn't until June 10th. I haven't seen any videos yet (besides FFG a few months ago and they didn't cover 100% of the components).

I think that have alternate cardboard for the dial cover would be the minimum to add on to these convention exclusives. Ideally alternate pilot art for the pilot the ship is designed after would be ideal as well but as is, this did not seem worth the added expense to try and get there early to grab one of these.

I really hope they'll do more of these in the future, although unfortunetly I couldn't be there to get one of these really cool special delta7 and I would have liked that they would sell some but I guess it was only for those who came to the Celebration wich I think sucks for the rest of us. Anyways, really cool paintjob, maybe I'll try to reproduce it when I'll buy a delta7.

How would you think X-wing differs from Armada, which would you recommend getting into?

Armada is more strategic while Xwing is more tacticle. Both are great games. I think its pretty safe to say Crabbok’s favorite is Armada. An easy way to decide which to play is see what your local communities are like. Aramada is a smaller game and doesnt get regulr updates (which can be seens as good or bad) while Xwing has a larger community with new ship expansions and rules updates. I advise finding local players and getting a demo before buying anything. Both communities are generally very welcoming and will be more than happy to demo for you if you ask.
