@abstract56 Hindi is heavily based on Sanskrit which originated in modern day Persia. India is the child of Persia. Their other prominent language, namely Urdu, is heavily based on Persian (Farsi) vocabulary. I think that's why it's easy for people to confuse them.

This dance is simple. Observe closely, listen to the music intently, you will begin moving automatically. Then the dance you dance may not be the same as this one. That dance will be yours very own. Maybe more intense than this one. Happy going. But you must be in a playful mood while dancing. This is very important.

@remakebeat dear friend, Devadasi, dance of the heart is not a traditional Sufi Dance. It is intuitive sacred dance, it is ment to be shared with also public. The entertaining aspect though, is just the superficial layer of it. There are deeper dimensions, too. The "mistake" is, that the video was put under the name "SufiDance" whereelse me, the dancer, was invited to dance to Sufi Music of my friends. best wishes, paramjyoti

The song is in Farsi but old Farsi accent, so it is difficult to understand. The dance thou seems a mix of old persian/zoroastrian and a mix of indian to me, but correct me if i am wrong i am no expert. also in the chant where it says "Aye Yaraan Yaraan" it means "hey companions/close friend"

@14abyan Why do people question Sufi Islam? They love the almighty more than anything else in this world. The Sufi's are intoxicated by the love of the beloved. Islam is an ancient and mystical faith and the Sufi's worship god and they believe in the oneness of the only God. Let them worship god however they choose - God is their judge and not you.

yes, bharatnatyam is a dance of the devil..While this is a sufi dance, it is the dance of the soul...the whirling of the universe inside each and everyone of us...the light in the dark...in a trance for the source... unconditional love and devotion..

Duel for the way of lord inside your own self and be a witness and don’t judge, as you will be judged ...if you choose to judge. Learn from all faiths, but above all from Abraham....he who offered his greatest possession to the lord to prove his faith. Dance could be an expression of good and evil. As Attar of Neyshabour said....You are what your mind understands. There is only one God. The creator of heavens and earth and all in between....dance for the lord as David, his prophet did to give joy of your heart for recognizing him in you....to the only one that truly deserves it....the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohamed pbh. Josean Figueroa Islam is Abrahamic faith, as Abraham is father of all three faiths. The idea of Islam is to love all things and worship one God who created all. All hate is not Abrahamic....he offered his son to the almighty to prove to him and humanity that none is above him.

Nothing is beyond ourselfs if you just follow quraan and sunnah. But u sufis have no knowledge of islaam. Islaamic is not mystical and our beloved prophet did not practice the swan dance.
