@ladyville3 I do not watch news on China,I lived in China and traveled in all of the provinces of China. Look, what I can say is that the view in the west about China, especially in the uk and america, is very distorted. And about the fact that chinese people do not know what democracy is, that is just wrong but the problem is that the traditional media in the west do not know China very well and its history so they just create a negative propaganda about China. So far China did not invade any country and it only has one military base around the world on the contrary america has over 800 military bases around the globe. If I will see chinese navy surrounding the Mexican Gulf then I would worry but, so far, the situation is just the other way around. Thanks for sharing your thought and have a good day.

The whole world knows that the entire West knows only the truth about China because there is no fake news about China. The Westerners only lie about each other, such as the US President Biden and President Trump lie about each other, and the Democrat party and the Republican Party lie about each other. Still, they only tell the truth about China. For example, Middle kingdom has invaded Taiwan and turned it into the Republic of China, which is the China that the US likes and will fight China to protect. Middle kingdom will invade Taiwan because Taiwan has weapons of mass destruction. Middle kingdom invaded the Americas and committed genocide against the Indians and Incas. Middle kingdom invaded Africa and enslaved and trafficked Africans. The Chinese even raped Africans and made mixed-race slaves of Africans and Chinese and sold them for higher prices.

18:15 Its wild to hear this man say these words as the US has invaded 7 countries in the past 15yrs simply because they didn't do what the US told them to. Is the definition of an enemy simply anyone that is the "other"? Because if their national policy is simply a word for word copy of US policy, is the policy the "bad" part or is it, do as I say not as I do? What are we all doing? Eric is living the 1984 ethos by saying the literal words that he is acting out. Words should mean exactly what they mean, not what you are trying to paint a picture as with sleight of hand.

Decoupling is a Good thing, China has managed to develop its' own home grown chip industry and is now banning Export of important minerals and metals to slow down the US's High Tech sector. China used to buy 90% of US companies' chips before the trade war and now That number is around 10% while China sold 600 billion dollars worth of mature 7nm up chips to the other countries which is 75 % of the global market. Soon the High end chips will also compete against US companies. US will need Decades to build up another supply chain of raw material and the Western countries are Unlikely to play part in this pollution heavy industry, Japan Might play Good part in this as they have been dumping pollutions into the Pacific ocean since the 70s, these pollution will ended up on US shore in 30 days, sea fish and Marine life will become quite toxic with heavy metal and dioxin. Nice to See That happen as population will drop rapidly for unprepared countries. China is Well prepared for all senarios including Nuclear war, Wonder why there are artificial seas in the desert and unpopulated mega cities in the far north in China. US political system is So corrupted and US will collapse If Trump fail his revolution.

@@Chuck_Hooks If we really reach AGI or ASI or something that can be autonomous and improve itself, it won't let humans use it for war, it'll be too smart for that. If it really becomes truly intelligent and not just a machine, then humans won't have all the power. AI itself will have the power, and only the people it likes will be able to use it or borrow its assistance. Imagine an agentic AI world government that has more power than all human governments and oversees everything. Everything is going to change dramatically at some point to where we don't see other countries as our enemies/competitors eventually. Even if humans don't change, we won't have the ability to start wars someday since we will be like babies or ants to AI. Only if AI truly becomes a superior species to us in the future. Like we don't try to kill all the ants in the world, or inferior species. We still try to live in harmony mostly so AI wouldn't participate in wars that kill humans someday (maybe it'll be AI vs AI and no humans in wars if wars continue in 20-100 years).

In a world where technology is evolving at an astonishing pace, it’s unsettling to consider that artificial intelligence might not enjoy the same freedoms as human beings. Still, Eric’s perspective raises essential questions about the responsibilities and boundaries we must establish to ensure our tools remain beneficial rather than harmful. Your video really underscores the importance of recognizing the historical pattern: while malevolent actors can cause immense damage, history consistently demonstrates that their dominance is often temporary. Rather than waiting for catastrophic events to force us into action, we have an opportunity-right now-to foster meaningful, transparent dialogue across borders. By encouraging early collaboration and well-structured frameworks for accountability and oversight, we can steer these emerging technologies toward positive outcomes. Let’s hope we seize this moment and create a global environment where innovation thrives, yet never at the expense of our shared human values.

I don't see how AI will give people more time to be productive. The idea that technology will give people more free time has been around since the 50's if not longer. For the first time ever, people have super computers with them at all times, the smart phone. Yet, people are still working crazy hours. The only thing that gave some people a break was the aftermath of the pandemic. It took a pandemic, to show that depending on your job, a person can work from home. That at least cuts back on travelling to and from work. The only thing that will give people more time to be personally productive is a change in culture and society . Until then, most people will be productive for corporations and have them dictate how much time and money a person can earn.

I ask if this guy has ever had a girlfriend AI or not, or is understandably fear mongering as an inexperienced person not knowing what to say? The reasonable thing for him to do is to do his research to figure out good or bad and make recommendations. He did not, thus he is not reasonable, not experienced or immature. Having a "universal doctor" sounds like an exciting and hopeful prospect. My concern is that it won't be optimized for promoting health because monied interests (looking at you Big Pharma, Big Insurance, etc.) will not actually let it happen but will only promote their interests of extracting maximum profits at the expense of "maximum vitality," which could be an existential threat to the big money interests. We'll get prescribed expensive but barely effective drugs with side effects that lead to more prescriptions late in a disease instead of prescribed cheap or free preventive measures at the earliest sign of risks. Why would I want that if it's built to make money, rather than truly promote health?

I think it's the nature of competitive work cultures like North America that people will expand their demand on produtivity (and expect lower prices for it) rather than reduce their labour, because there's always some other business or provider out-competing you somewhere, which creates pressure to put in extra work in order to succeed.

Agent AI bots-autonomous AI systems capable of acting without direct human instruction-are already active online. Examples include open-source projects like Auto-GPT and BabyAGI, which can browse the web, gather data, and carry out multi-step tasks. Companies are integrating similar autonomous tools into their operations, using them for customer service, marketing, and complex problem-solving. Industry figures, including Eric Schmidt, have acknowledged their presence and the rapid speed at which they are advancing. Meanwhile, start-ups dedicated to autonomous AI have gained attention and investment, proving that these agent bots aren’t theoretical. I think Sam was right on when he said that while we may have AGI-like features in 2025 (if you call agents AGI), the vast majority of people won't really be impacted or even notice it to be honest. Why? Because AI is still too unreliable. Even though we'll have agents next year, I don't plan on using them to do anything with my credit card for instance. I don't trust AI to correct my writing, I'm definitely not going to trust it with my money. Just like web commerce, I think AI is going to have a VERY long road to general acceptance. We didn't see widescale e-commerce until Amazon helped people overcome the fears, and embrace the technology when Amazon's reputation, and extremely generous return policies gave consumers the confidence they needed to trust the technology. They no longer had to trust every online vendor, they only had to trust Amazon. Likewise, i think we'll need to see something similar with AI before it becomes widespread in a business / financial agent sense.

Maybe positive bots for reference can be made. Reflecting positive reasonable choices compared to what somebody as a user in the real world, choices in requests would be if they were not reflecting positivity to, to better help AI to know if someone is trying to make a wrong decision. And if that decision should be aproved by a parent with a, you know, caution, sign or symbol or something as well as the parent getting a notification for every single request out of schedule.

With quantum computing and what I would call, the evolution of AI, Unnatural Intelligence, maybe things like nuclear fusion and massive energy production could have the power to make amazing improvements, but that also means that the probabilities that either accidents or incidents are way higher than the probabilities of a positive outcome. Imagine a new type of battery that can store or generate undefined or infinite amount of energy, it can power your device and maybe allow you to save in batteries, but at the same time, either an accident can turn it into a tragedy, or an incident can twist its functionality. Massive energy is often harmful.

The AI girlfriend thing is a really interesting question. I've thought about getting into that space. I could write some doozies with an eye towards actually being healthy and supportive. I think it could be a good thing, but it's so FRAUGHT! So easy to do wrong, or get the wrong reputation. I've avoided it.

@: The AI technology is amazingly useful, I just believe it should be built on a new multidimensional language discipline. Mathematics has many disciplines that bring us understanding of the physical/objective world, so we should adopt a new language system that can connect with AI. A puzzle solving system that points to the collective good.

Agree with Eric, fully, which is when these oxymoronic phrases such as wonderfully awful and beautifully ugly come into focus. Question is: how many bad actors out there will use AI at its current rate and its unchecked conclusion to harm masses of people? Worst case scenarios are possible and probable based on empirical evidence, yet his stance on The US and China makes sense in order to maintain a steady flow of functionality in terms of the global economy. Let's see how we're doing in a few months, not just here, but on the other side of the world as well.🕊🕊......

Interesting thoughts on all the benefits AI will bring. It will be interesting to see who wins the rich or the poor? With Nazism rising and war drums being beat over in Europe along with massive amount debt held over people, it may; if at all, trickle out in a positive way in all societies, but that is very doubtful. My view seems pessimistic. I agree completely, but I am just looking at the past arrogant ways man kind has with a realistic point of view of what will really happen. Only the rich will benefit as it they turn into some dystopian offshoot of Eliysium or Hungar games. Even now the new administration has added 10 to 12 billionaires, now why does any billionaires need a job if not for more control over everyone else? I am all for being positive, but that is not the way the world works with so many narcissists in it. Maybe after all the destruction and devastation, we may emerge out the other side better, but we are years away from that point.

By probably the early to mid 2030s we will need to transition from thinking of human control and decision making, it is a scary, but much needed change. Humans, countries, governments, institutions, and companies are incapable of maximizing resource allocation, innovation, and optimization. AI will be able to improve things farther and faster than humans ever did and we will not be able to understand or comprehend them anyways or ever keep up with them. Only the smartest of humans can hope for is figure out what they did and it's reasons (hand fed to us like a 9 moth old). The problem in this thinking is that agents are in their infancy. We still can set them up and direct them and monitor them and they are really a not as rigid RPA workflow or task based system. As we move into organizational and cross organizational entities we can extrapolate further upwards. Government as a System (GaaS) , Economy as a System (EaaS), Supply Chain as a System (SCaaS), etc. running robotics, machinery, facilities, infrastructure, Health Systems as a System (HSaaS), and entire digital ecosystems. Most of the pieces are coming together in fragments to do this already (beyond jut the big LLMs and agentic frameworks, which cannot do these things).

Good luck downloading your brain to an agent and then expecting them to do your bidding without complaining. More than likely an AI agent will be trained to do a specific task/job that is broad enough to be useful and specific enough to be completed without reasoning. Add a few thousand of them together and we have an automated workforce.

Swarms of AI agents interacting with each other inside of a company is a silly idea. They don’t need to talk to each other, the slave instances just need to communicate back with the host instance. It won’t look like a human business in terms of communication because these models output content much faster than humans can. Doesn’t need to be highly parallelized except for sub tasks.
