The super strength could be accentuated by a more bass heavy sound effect with footsteps/ combat sounds. Also when there’s a combat collision, add an impact frame (like an anime) or ramp the camera speed frames per second so it’s looks like a slow-mo just for a moment before the impact (not too long otherwise it will drag)

That sounds really cool and it takes inspiration from animation! I'll definitely try looking into something like that to add some extra impact to the super strength combat.

So me and my friends nerd out and podcast about superheroes. Some of us have been dabbling in writing. One of the main things we focus on is how to not make characters OP, so with your visibility issue sometimes you have to give the villain something to be on a even playing field. So try something with them being able to track Alters heat signature. Or if you decide to use a element like Rain, or Since it's in Vegas, Stage fights near fountains so they can see the form of his body when he moves. But also if there detecting his body heat, the water could be used as a cooling agent for Alter. Currently binge watching your videos, what you're doing is dope.

You should make freezing time like an ultimate ability. you'll need to fill up a bar to use it. also for showing that alter has super strength on he could have an aura around his arms or his arms should bulk up with muscles

Hi! Really cool concept for a game. An idea that jumped out at me was segregating the moveset of the super strength mode so that both have some utility. That way the player doest automatically think that they should exclusively use the super strength as it is more effective. I imagine Atler teleporting as part of his combos quickly switching between powers like light staggering jabs into heavy hitting punishers. I think a system with a high skill ceiling like that would be really satisfying for players. Anyway, interested to see where you take things!

Video idea: fiverr artists recreate the AI design for alter. You don't have to use any of their drawings but you do get an update side video that isn't too extensive to edit. Don't quit on this, you have a good foundation, AI combat is complex and you've been making real progress

I really like the bottom left design at 7:03. The two on top feel like villains, and the one on the bottom right looks too much like Spider-Man possessed by Venom. But the bottom left looks interesting, even unique with the two pairs of eyes, imposing but not threatening.

I don't know if it's just me that think's this way, but i think it would be cool to see Alter use the Time Stop ability Transmatter mentiond in the first devlog at the end of the game like something happend and the only think do give him a chance to fix it would be by useing time stop or meaby something similar at the cost of his health... Also I adore how Alter's journey is comeing out and i can't wait to see him come to life as a character

7:03 I like 1 but the face of 3 For super strength he should do a 🤜🤛 and the gold and eyes starts to glow and the core sticks out spins for idk 30s when it runs out u get stunned for a few seconds then the core puffs out smoke and goes back In.

Don't worry about using AI art. No one owes artists a job. Just like no one owes me a job when AI replaces my ability to write code. Automation has replaced a lot of things in the past but no one cares about the automatic loom replacing manual loom operators anymore.

Pretty much.. Ai generated art as it stands right now really benefits Artists in many ways. New scopes for projects are available and new jobs involving those AI's will be made, current day Artists still actually hold the upper hand. That is of course until they stop adapting. Imagine as a Coder if you never learned how to code in different languages after mastering 1 or 2 languages for your primary job, you would be out of a job in 5 years.

I think his design, while cool, is WAY too similar to Spiderman. I know Spiderman is your favorite hero, so I get that, but this looks more like it could be an alt costume for Spiderman than a hero in its own right.

Looking great so far i would like to give tips for the art and overall game look: 1. Learn about animation frame rate because you will be animating a lot of fight moves and combo, every action needs a certain weight to it 2. Learn about Stylized shaders (a shader you applied on 3d renders to give a certain unique lighting and shading to your renders), i believe you shouldn't go for the realistic look, but rather a stylized one like comic books for example, this will be an unique selling point for your game. (For example check out Project Feline who used this technique to create anime looks for the world and the character) 3. Lastly if you're going for the comic book look, you can add those comic book sound effects words like pow,ka-blam,etc. as a particle or pop-up everytime you perform a combo.

These are things I've definitely been looking into! You'll see in the 3rd devlog (which is coming soon) but I have been working on animation and trying to teach myself a little on how to animate at least temporary moves.. As for the stylized shaders that is definitely something Ive been thinking of! I've seen Project Feline and I also really love the look of Ultimate Spiderman (the game) and also the Into the Spiderverse movies. Definitely will look into it more!
