Thanks Stef! 🥰 Flat mites are microscopic villains hiding amongst our plants - particularly Hoya. If you’ve ruled most everything out, and the Hoya is not growing well, it could very likely be flat mites. They suck sap from new growth, poisoning it and the new growth will die back. Having knobby stems with no successful leaves is another telltale sign. Highly recommend checking out KnotDude’s video on flat mites if you want to know more 😉 I’m so glad you enjoyed! 💚🪴

Honestly, I suspect they were the cause of MANY of my hoya losses over the last few years. All those plants I thought had rust/bacterial/fungal issues… a lot of those signs all point to flat mites 😣 I hope you don’t have them either! 🤞💚😘

@@dreamsofhoya So scary to think about. The only plants I’m still having trouble with are my Monstera Deliciosas. I bought two as babies. Neither of them have put out new leaves in over a year now, even though I repotted them and fertilized them. No fenestrations either. I just don’t understand them! Oh, and I have a Begonia Lois that was doing great and this winter it’s dropping all of its leaves. I haven’t the slightest idea what it wants either. I do think I overwatered it at one point, so maybe that’s it’s problem? 🤷‍♀️

@@StitchesbySharonH sorry your monsteras are struggling 😥 And it could be overwatering on the begonia. I find it very easy to do in winter. I let my cane begonia leaves go floppy before watering in the cool season! So far, so good 🤞
