I’m going to school to study AI just for this reason. I know the argument is that controls engineers will never be replaced, and we won’t as long as we use AI as an extension of ourselves. There can be a balance, but resisting the future will lead to those not able to find a job. Still years down the road but the horizon is already here.

I agree. This is a new way of thinking about controls. Use AI with programming but also other ways. Maintenance routines for the machine, SCADA control, outline for basic control, etc. There are endless possibilities to find... Garry
