23:40 Yes. I agree. Competition is key. OpenAI is somewhat over-rated. They achieved apparrent domination due to name-awareness, mainly because they were first to release LLMs with powerful capabilities. But name alone won't keep you as King of the Jungle. Here in the UK, any time that AI is mentioned it is always "GPT" and "OpenAI" - no-one else gets a mention. However, there are plenty of sharks looming below the waterline and it is perhaps to their advantage they have low profiles - especially because of the controversy over the use of training data, Look at what Kling is doing - it kicks Sora's backside, yet it's hardly ever mentioned by Matt Wolfe, for instance. The same for LLMs. I think there will be plenty of competition. I'm not saying OpenAI will fail, but I think people need to have a broader view of things. Also remember, pouring a ton of money into a project doesn't guarantee success and can actually lead to its failure. When money is no object people become lazy and bureaucracy kicks in.

13:24 I think that Open Ai Operator should have an optional feature that enables the users to demonstrate to the Operator what they do on a daily basis, in which the Operator can execute on its own without further supervision. Maybe such additional features can optimally speed up Open Ai Operator performance. You should be able to show the Operator how to shop online, how to pay your bills, how to order food from a restaurant etc.. And then the Operator should have enough data to execute all those tasks by itself without your continuing supervision. I hope that I make sense 😉😉💯💪🏾👍🏾. This additional feature shouldn't replace the default function of the Operator.

Political conflicts have driven us to invent atomic power and reach the moon. While AI holds immense potential, its current development often prioritizes commercial gain over sustainable practices. This trend resembles a bubble that may soon burst. AI isn't going anywhere, but it needs to evolve towards responsible applications that don't threaten our climate. Even today, if you ask an AI for solutions to energy waste, it might ironically identify itself as part of the problem.

I'm worried about the hardware bottleneck: although they're designed by other companies (including nVidia) all of the AI chips are manufactured by TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company). China claims Taiwan is still part of their country and seems to be planning to enforce that in the not too distant future. What happens to AI chip availability then? TSMC has been starting to build chip production facilities in the U.S., but they are not finished and they won't be using their most recent technologies.

what was the o in o3 supposed to be again? Oh ya, it's supposed to be able to natively support audio in and out, sing songs, do sound effects, and diagnose my car problem by listening to the sound it makes all while also watching the world though a camera and responding in real time. Yet it is still just a text to speech model only with abilities to upload a picture and have another AI analyze and turn it into text, and a limited access to the feature of one of 8 predetermined voices sounding sad or excited as it talks.
@MikeWMillerКүн бұрын
I think you're confusing the o in 4o with the o in o3. The o in 4o is for Omnimodal, implying it can handle all media in and out. I'm not sure what the o in o3 is for, but the big selliing point and promise of the o1 and o3 model families is their ability to do test-time inference as they reason through the problem. Nothing was ever hyped with them (so far as I know) related to multimedia capabilities.
@Brenden-HКүн бұрын
@@MikeWMiller oh my gosh. You're completely right. But I'm gonna have to blame the name scheme on that one. I don't like something like Stargate being owned by a private company/billionaire/whatever. If it's for the benefit of humanity/Americans, than we should own it (AKA our government & elected leaders have control). For example, say Open AI, or any other company said, we are going to build our own private nuclear weapons; how would the American public, or the world feel about that? Imagine having a board meeting at a private company where they are discussing what would be the economic advantages for shareholders if they launched a nuclear weapon.

Do you think Jim believes that he will? But it's a Golden Age! I think Trump said exactly that, in all his golden glamour and shimmery glory. In any event, it should be interesting to see what happens with Trump's half a trillion AI pledge in the face of other countries' AI's, such as China's dirt-cheap open source. As far as is understood, at the same time, Musk may be pursuing a lawsuit concerning something along the lines of targeting OpenAI for not being 'open'. Can you make this stuff up? You don't need to. We have off-the-shelf parts. Regarding Musk's apparent Naziesque salute, did it actually happen or was it AI or a Saturday Night Live skit? If Musk, perhaps he suffers from a mild and more physical form of Tourette's Syndrome? I've heard that he apparently has some Aspergers, yes? I say this also because of when he once sort of raised both hands with his thumb and index fingers in a kind of pinching gesture in an interview with a live audience as he said something like, 'Go fuck yourselves.' to advertisers threatening to pull out of his newly-acquired X. DOGE? Memecoin? Really? Should we be excited to get our very own AI Agent to help automate our lives for us? AI still sucks so badly. I ask for top players in the rhythm community for many different games and it always gets the tier list wrong by a long shot.. like a lot of subjective opinions that actually don’t take much thought. AI is only useful for regular normie npc questions. Hallucinates like 99% of the time when you ask for something useful.
