the language capabilities are supremely under sold. it doesn't just understand native language it can also read foreign languages written in phonetic(ish) english text (the way many indian and sri lankans send text messages for example) this ability is amazing as theses languages are essentially entirely community built with no regulation. worrying to think where they got the training data for this as would mean it would have to come from some bulk source of personal messaging service (likely they don't pretend to care about privacy of people data in other languages) unsurprising for most non english speakers

How do we know these AI demos haven't been tweaked by humans? Even if it were built before our eyes, the audio can be overdubbed. Don't believe what you hear. People don’t get it. Before ChatGPT was prompting other models over the network. Now it’s all running on the same infrastructure and the prompts are directly sent to the appropriate model. This isn’t one giant omni capable model.

Venture further into the world of AI I would suspect that the changes will absolutely be profound. Obvious understatement, but given my age 82 the technology does give me pause however it obviously is not going to stop and it doesn’t seem like it will even halt or slow down. I’m just hoping the rest of us can catch up. Perhaps I thinking is too draconian I can certainly see a world where robotic beings and I do mean beings will become our mates/companions. I will be fitted to us both sexually and psychology wise if this is good or bad I really can’t determine a later date. No doubt will give us the answer, but in the I personally look forward to the advances that will surely make my life easier as I age.

I'm all about ease and effortless manifestation, so I can see this being used for cloning in ways to get projects done without having the artist even attempt to finish physically. This is useful if the vocalist isn't able to use their voice for some reason or otherwise engaged. I would do this for my own vox, if I'm being honest, and simply learn the song later for performing live lmaooooooooooooo
