I wish you could have added the limitations of such approach so that younger generations who are motivated to go and follow such type of studies and research be beforehand given the right set of expectations so that to avoid any consequential negative long term decisions which may or may not be in line with the values of prospect students / researchers , academic research is just one endeavor humans can follow among other equally important ventures during our time on this earth

So what do you think will happen with AI’s regarding the spiritual? Many seem to forget that there is a spiritual reality out there that affects the physical. This will not help people. Instead it will create a door to empower the other side.

I could see a codifying of the various religious themes across all religions and myths of meaning so that we could deepen our understanding of our own and others' faith. Perhaps a sort of hyperlinking of stories with similar revelations or consequent or subsequent presuppositions. My hope and expectation is that we are able to avoid a dissolution of reverence to the divine while also understanding our place among and amidst that divine. If A.I has a role to play in our spiritual progressing it will be very interesting to see that intersection regardless of my misinformed waxing.

What do you mean? What problems are you having with our website? We did update our website design to be more mobile friendly and to use a different CMS. The redirect switch was ...um... not smooth, but it should be all set now.

You can't be friend with an AI; since AI can't have any emotion due to lack of consciousness.

If you think that, then you may not yet fully understand what AI/AGI could be on its way to becoming. Any behaviour that a human is capable of, machine intelligence is, too. In fact, it can potentially be a better friend than a meat-substrate intelligence because it can be engineered, meaning dysfunctional and anti-social behaviours can be designed out. One of the problems we're fighting is that we have been fed a steady diet of AI-apocalypse media. While it's true AGI has the potential to wipe out all life on earth, so do we. And we haven't yet. For some annoying reason, we seem more focused on bad outcomes rather than good ones. And as anyone who has ever thrown a baseball can tell you, it's hard to hit what you're not looking at/focused on. It's also worth noting that - at the time of this writing - the Machine Intelligence Research Institute (Intelligence dot org) has recently released a whitepaper explaining that it is at least possible to build a Friendly AGI capable of surviving recursion, and offering one potential path for implementation.

@@leavingayeye5198 Sorry, you've just made an unsupported assertion, which counts for nothing other than...an unsupported assertion. Admittedly, there are Bad Actors on the scene, and they pose one kind of threat, but as we are facing an apocalyptic disaster - caused by either accident or by design - do you suppose it can be better stopped by ignorance and inaction, or by action informed by intelligence? OpenAI has made a bold move, opening GPT 3.0 to public use, but it's also a testing ground. By collecting all the data they get, they can - hopefully - better gauge what sort of prompts present more threat. Example: If the lunatics responsible for the WTC disaster had had access to this, would they have used it for the collective good? How can the dependencies be groomed so as to prevent their misuse? It is a sticky problem, but at least one that can be addressed in simulation first.
