It is going to find its own level, this is the Napster stage of the process, once people calm down it will become more clear. That is if we are not all dead then AI can do whatever it wants

This is the super advanced version of Napster. If we learned anything from the past: Trying to stiffle it doesn't work. At this point I believe we all need to except that this is happening and decide if you're going to be at the forfront or be left behind... if recent history has taught us anything, it's that fighting the future is a losing battle. The tech is here and it's not going away.

The thing is.. This WILL change. Either the increasingly prevalent use of AI will invalidate the need for copyright all together.. OR more short-term, as corporations begin using AI for everything, they will lobby to change this copyright ruling, so that they can protect their own use of it, or the content that is created by their privately created AI. Right now AI's use is still niche, but mark my words, soon as the wealthy start really using it, this ruling will change.

If the A.I makes it because you typed in some keywords to generate the image you don't get to copyright it, it isn't really your work.

Everything I've been shown as AI art or written articles has been very unimpressive. I can see how someone who doesn't read much or is not very discerning could get excited about it though.

There are actually AI image detectors being developed right now. Word on the street that the USCO is looking into using one. Currently I know of Hive, not perfect but just like AI it will get better.

I disagree entirely. You don't tell someone making music on a computer that they can't copyright their song because they didn't use real instruments, but rather a program that mimics them.

The distinction is that the computer did not write the song. The human did.

But the musician using the digital instrument is still playing the instrument and arranging the music. An Ai completely replaces the human from the process. It’s not the same.
