⁠@@GreenskullAII have an easier method. Open your inventory. Close it. Do it until there’s diamond. For seeing a block though it’s more difficult. There’s apparently a weight system where things you most commonly see while playing Minecraft are the most likely to occur. Since diamond blocks are not something all players craft there’s a small chance to see one. Of course, there’s the technic of using a screenshot, but otherwise it’s about just looking at things with the closest colour and hoping it stays.

It will never generate actually crazy terrain though, all it knows is minecraft. The craziness is in the artifacts of the ML. The easiest implementation of ML in games would be writing personalised twists into the scripts, really adjusting the experience to your specific playing of that game

The hotbar really carried the inventory screen. With the hotbar it worked fine with the occasional melty slot, but without it the poor ai just had np idea. Something you wouldnt think of but if i had to guess why its because its so used to it being both.

I've seen so many people say, it's good because it's correct, it's bad because it's correct, it's good because it's incorrect, it's bad because it's incorrect, we already HAVE Minecraft. If we needed Minecraft we'd just play it. What they've created is an ai model we can interact with as though it's a 3d space. Interacting with image generation in this context helps us learn how it works and how to manipulate it to get specific Results. You can TECHNICALLY go to the nether through a portal because that's what the AI knows, but the AI can't quite do it at all reliably, because it's not Minecraft, it's an image generator. So speedrunners learn that the path to the nether is abstract, and involves filling their screen with red or shadow or lava, to hint the AI what to show, and when it finally creates that shimmering image of the nether you can interact with it ALMOST like it's the game. So by playing, you learn how the AI thinks and you become more familiar with it. This is an important part of educating the public so they can make use of these tools
