Right now, I do not trust this feature because it is spouting misinformation as of late. I do not care if AI makes mistakes, but Google should've handled this situation before releasing it.

AI overview in Google search is experimental folks. To develop and improve it Google needs your interactions like your feedbacks, thumbs up and thumbs down. This is one of the many ways Google evaluates and improves the quality of the results.

It's been getting better and better but it isn't perfect. I think everyone's expectations are a little high but I do think Google needs to continue working on AI Overviews. Great breakdown video!

I think they will start reducing the frequency but have higher quality results for the most popular searches. A lot of niche stuff is falling through the cracks leading to some crazy answers imo 🤣🤣

I turned off AI overviews even before it started giving completely incorrect information and yet it still shows up. Google is forcing misinformation.

Personally I love it, I get the website traffic concerns but it's part of the growing pains of the AI revolution. I frequently use it because it's a much safer way to search the web. I cringe every time I go to a website and it's potentially riddled with harmful ads.

Everything uses AI, the only question is what form. It's reasonable to say you don't want this *feature*, but you won't be able to run away from AI.
