I understand this is android 15.5/16 now, but seriously no floating multitask, stacked widgets, lockscreen widgets, immovable search bar, immovable at-a-glance feature. The best is google's infinite wisdom decided to copy apple for the screenshot shortcut 'Power and Volume down buttons at the same time' but put the power button...at the top (volume up key is in the way lol).

My wife switched over to pixel from iOS. I'm on the s24u. I was surprised to see how much is missing on pixel launcher. As far as customization. Without having to download a launcher.

It's not only google apps, it's up to the app developer to support it. In my case, 14/16 icons on my home screen support it, of which 10 are non-Google. But yes, it's annoying, the lack of support from third-party makes the feature look dumb. It's slowly getting there.

It's only been 3 years (since Android 12) and many BIG developers care less about themed icons. Amazon, Yelp, McDonalds, Capital One..just to name a few. Don't get me started on app icon names being truncated. I can't stand 'Amazon Sho...' as the name. Fix this!

So far as I'm concerned this video is worthless, but it does explain a lot about why the Google Messages app is G-A-R-B-A-G-E for anyone who is used to using text messages to COMMUNICATE instead of as some sort of pseudo-creative toy. Google pressured Verizon and Samsung into dropping their messaging apps to force everyone to use this garbage so Google could claim those "billion" users (most of whom hate this app).

My dad is still using his Samsung s10 and he isn't planning on changing until it dies. I changed the battery and honestly it's still plenty phone for him. So I'd say for us, power users maybe 5 is enough but the vast majority of people would benefit.
