customer-facing AI bots will fail. Avoid those companies. Back-office AI will support back office tasks and allow headcount reduction. We're looking at those.

@@Brodragon2225 Any task that automates the handling of structured data away from one or more human staff will succeed. But customer-facing AI is not processing structured data - it's confronting humans, the full range/spectrum of human behavior. One day there will be non-annoying customer facing AI that 'thinks on its feet' and can handle any mood/expectation of a human customer but we're not there yet. Everything else - handling structured or unstructured data - AI will do. 'Data' isn't in a bad mood, data doesn't have a 'short fuse', data isn't already unhappy with the business. Data is passive. Those AI chatbots are sub-par and make customers think "the company wants nothing to do with me. I'm not worth enough to be able to talk to a live person" mainly because AI cannot converse and 'think' and respond nearly as fast, and as "on-point", as a live human. At least right now. Maybe 5 years, all customer service will be AI.
