AI Tools Compared: AI Movie Test Scene, which works best? Midjourney Vs. Runway GEN2

Midjourney Stills or Runway GEN2 Video: Which AI tool works best when bringing your screenplay to life, and is it worth the effort?
I'm a screenwriter, a director, and a filmmaker, and I'm on a quest to see if I can create a watchable AI movie from the Screenplay that took me 10 years to write?
So, I'm using a test scene to see how far I can get. I'd previously created a stills-only version using images created in Midjourney, but I recently upgraded the scene to video versions of each shot using Runway GEN2, and this video is the comparison and review of what worked and what didn't work so well.
So, if you're a screenwriter, director, filmmaker, actor, producer or any other kind of visual storyteller who would love to use emerging AI tools to bring your story to life, this channel is for you.

Heyyyyy!! Thanks very much indeed 😊. The story actually gets much better than that, her part is just scratching the surface. It’s a RomCom, and wait until you “meet” Ben, a thoroughly nice guy who can’t risk human contact because when he touches people, whatever they’re thinking in that moment, turns into reality. Great if they’re daydreaming about world peace, but what if they’re having a bad day and simmering with sinister thoughts of death and destruction? He goes to beg her for help reading minds (like a seeing-eye dog) so he can learn to control his dysfunctional super power. And save the world from accidental destruction The thing is, she’s so bitter about humanity that she quite likes the idea of a bit of global karma, and she doesn’t want to help him until she realises she could quietly manipulate him into getting her something shady that she wants.

I see many people getting on the AI ​​train, most of them have no idea what making a film is. They make stupid shots, trailers, ... Fantastic to see that people with knowledge are also taking the step. Early adapters with the necessary knowledge will become the new talents. Don't let the AI ​​haters discourage you... they don't really understand what awaits them. Heyyyyy!!!! Thanks very much indeed, I really appreciate the feedback. I agree entirely that AI is like a giant wave that is coming whether we like it or not, agree with it or not, or understand it or not. We don't have a choice or any control about that. What we DO have control over, is whether we do nothing and get wiped out by the wave, or pick up a surf board and learn to surf. I honestly think that very few serious filmmakers are seeing the potential, and risk missing out by condescendingly treating AI as some kind of inferior fad. I think you're right, in that the future will belong to skilled filmmakers who take every great skill they have, and use AI tools to enhance their productivity. Great to have you along for the ride :-)

Thanks for the compliment :-) I agree entirely that at this point, it's nowhere close to a broadcast-ready production, but 12 months ago, I never would have dreamed that we'd be at this point. My earliest recollection of the beginnings of my screenplay for "Telepathy SUCKS!" was in 2003. I realised today that it's literally been 20 years since I first started to think about this movie, so to say I've been playing a long-game is an understatement. From my perspective, I'm looking for a broadcast-ready movie in 5 to 10 years from now, and this journey into AI is just the next phase starting to emerge. In truth, if I thought this movie could be brought to life via the traditional route, I'd have followed that already, but the movie would be far too expensive to make, with too-small an estimated audience, so it would be too high-risk of a project for any seasoned producer to take a risk on. I've been waiting for an alternative production model to show up, and so I'm hoping this is it.
