I love when you refer to the older videos for throwbacks. I actually have many of my favorites on a You Tube list that I leave on as I do my chores. I change it up with the seasons.

It never hurts to have refresher and you just reminded me to "walk" my grass. I tend to circle it, so will be mindful now! :) Again - welcome back!!!

I've so been looking forward to the return of Watercolor Wednesdays. One of my New Year's resolutions this year is to view all of the Watercolor Wednesday tutorials (minimum of 2 per week) and set aside one Saturday a month to practice by following along one of the tutorials I've viewed during the month. (I tried the Clay Pot last week - tutorial #5). So much fun. It was great to have this beginner's refresher. I pick up a new tip every time I watch one of these videos. Thank you for taking the time to create these tutorials. They are wonderful inspiration and greatly appreciated.

This is the video I've been looking for! I started watching 2-3 months after this one & was trying to puzzle out the basic stamps to purchase. As it happens, I guessed right. I ordered flowers 1, foliage 1, small containers (rustic was out of stock) & branches just today. I'm looking forward to a restful summer of colouring with my markers & water colour paper :). Fortunately I already had the basic supplies other than the stamps

I am new to this technique but did order the wagon, grass stamp and fir trees. Love it. I did practice a little but anyone can do this and its quick and so much fun. I made it into a card. I always love the winter scenes. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks, Bonnie! This really is easy to follow. I've made a few cards following your method, and everyone who's received one can't believe that I painted it myself. I'm so glad you pointed out how to do the stems. I was making the mistake of adding water to them, and something just didn't look quite right to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Yay! It's always the little things!! Sometimes I think I repeat myself too much but it really does make a difference, especially the long stems! It's like night and day!

Yeah! Watercolor Wednesday’s! Bonnie I just love your tutorials, and your voice of encouragement. Quick funny question, when you sign and date your work , how do you decide what pen and pen color to use? For example, on one of my mini-masters I picked up my #16 olive green (icky sig) and gosh forbid, once I picked up a sharpie fine point black permanent marker and signed , dated my work. (Icky again). I believe in your potted marvelous mini master you used #86 African violet. And how to make your signature look petite? I have a couple more letter in my name that you do, Lauren Butler, so after all the wonderful tutorials, I am challenged with a signature date line....lol
@ArtImpressionsStamps7 жыл бұрын
LOL! Don't stress about your signature! Just get it on there! I honestly just grab the first pen I see and use the fine tip. I've signed so many thousands of these now that I do it automatically. You can use anything, even a ball point! A very fine tip will keep it petite

I notice you always place your small stamps in the upper corner. Is this so it's easier for placement? This is a great video for beginners. I've had these stamps forever but never water colored with them. This is exactly what I needed! THANKS!

What brand of watercolor paper do you use; and are you stamping and painting on the front or back side?
@ArtImpressionsStamps5 жыл бұрын
My absolute favorite paper to use is this one (Canson): www.artimpressions.com/shop/canson-xl-wc-paper-pad/ The textured side is the preferred, but honestly both are ok! Thank you for watching!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us...I was wondering where to start with the stamps...what set of markers do you recommend...I know there are several sets but I don't know which one would be the best for starting out...tfs
@NancyLynn7 жыл бұрын
Hi Gloria....what I did when I first started out was watched a few of Ai YT videos. You will recognize right away that most of the same markers are used in each video. That was how I picked out which colors to start with. Good luck and enjoy and I hope this helps!
@stampyra7 жыл бұрын
Hi Gloria. You should visit the blog post that goes along with this video. All of the materials are listed out. artimpressionsstamps.blogspot.com/2018/01/new-video-beginning-watercolor-where-do.html . It will give you links to all the products. Bonnie has a set of her favorite markers available.
@09mclemens7 жыл бұрын
Hi Gloria - Bonnie has two sets of favorites. There are 12 markers in each set but #45 Sepia and #86 African Violet are in both sets, so it's 22 different markers total. There's a nice assortment of colors in each of her sets, so I don't think you could go wrong with either one. If you look up the sets on the Art Impressions website, you can get the exact list of what's included, but you will definitely need/want the #45 and #86.

Are the Marvy watercolor pens available on your website? I have tombow markers...will they work? Where do I buy a t square ?
@ArtImpressionsStamps4 жыл бұрын
Any water based pen will work! I have used Marvy's in the past, but somewhat recently switched to Tombows. I love them! Definitely use your Tombow's and here is a conversion chart to help: www.artimpressions.com/shop/art-impressions-most-loved-color-conversion-chart/ The stamp positioner? Here is a link! www.artimpressions.com/shop/4774-stamp-positioner/ Thank you for watching! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
