this is definitely one of the better modern object shows, everyone's personalities are great and play off of eachother really well, not to mention the runtime of half an hour gives every character a decent amount of screentime despite the massive cast. the animation is really fluid and everyone's expressive and emotive, it's evident powerpoint has been used to it's full potential here. all of the voices are fitting to their respective characters and the sounds are all mixed well. AIB never skips any beats, there really isn't a dull moment to be found anywhere

I love the transition to contestant voting rather than viewer elimination. Don’t get me wrong the ability to influence how a show ends is great and all but I find that allowing the viewers to vote often leads to some characters storylines just abruptly ending. It’s a good call in the end is what I’m saying.

I need to say this. We're only 4 episodes into this series and I have to say that is one is slowly shaping into something truly incredible. There are a couple things that make me say that. 1.) Oodle. Hot take, but I truly believe Oodle is the best object show host in the whole object show genre. He's already got a lot more characterization than some shows that have been running for much longer. He's funny, but he's also vulnerable and capable of mistakes, also it's clear that he genuinely cares about how the contestants view him and the show he's running. His entire interaction with Pear this episode proves that. 2.) The contestants. The objects of this show are shockingly...real. They're a little more than just archetypes, to the point where some don't fit into any of those boxes. Yes, Gold Nugget is a rich jerk, Shot Put is a strong fool, and Brain is an aloof brainiac. However, the show's written in a way that is clearly setting up more for them in the future. Even the "mean" characters that in any other object show would get eliminated first, like Pitchfork, Alef, Mitten, or Coconut are getting way more character then jerk for the sake of being a jerk (Pitchfork and Alef especially). Obviously, with such a large cast, some characters are bound to fall into the background a little (Toothpick, Brick, Hailstone, and Tea Bag come to mind), but I've no doubt that those characters will have their chance. All in all, Robert and team have something really special here, and it makes me all the more excited to see what the future has in store. I've no problem waiting every handful of months if it means all the episodes are of this quality.

I had no idea what to expect, and yet it was one of my favorite object show episodes ever. The lore, running gags, and character development ran strong today. Also, the turnout for the premiere was also stunning. 2,500+ people waiting for an object show is insane and rivals BFDI and II Invitational, and the show being PowerPoint animated makes it all the more impressive. -Someone who's been watching from the very beginning

I know it gets redundant of me to say that each episode keeps on improving to what was already a great show so far, but wow was that episode the cream of the crop! I was able to look at the live chat during the episode's premiere, and it really shows the dedicated audience your team has grabbed hold of, the level of anticipation and excitement is certainly deserving for the amount of work put into each of these! You all better pat yourselves on the back for this, this is easily one of my favorite object shows out there. Also, thank heavens for changing the voting to be contestant-only for eliminations. While audience interaction is great and all, there is clear downsides at allowing the view to vote out characters who would have potential to bring more into the table. 7 HOURS, CANT WAIT Edit after watching episode: This was a great episode, worth the wait (I'd never been more excited for an object show episode since TPOT). This really shows the Alef/Nabla/Glue dynamic, and I really like how unlike most duos, yellow and orange food dye are actually different people: yellow is a lot more outgoing and mean, whilst orange is shyer and kinder. Also, I'm glad pitchfork didnt get eliminated, cause I expected she would, since I really like her. I wonder who got more votes: her or pear. Amazing episode! I've been loving this show. This is you guys' bread and butter. You have a charming plot and great setup, topped off with good slapstick humor and phenomenal animation. Great stuff. Now, here's what I REALLY wanted to share. I've developed a theory based on tiny cryptic details ever since I saw the Pilot and this episode furthered that agenda. In no capacity is this complete yet, but I feel it's worth something. It's pretty big, so let's dive in. 1. The Beginning. So, as revealed in the AIB QNA from a bit ago, you pulled all of these from obscure and niche object camps. Going with that narrative, and the setting being a yellowish-tan void, I think these characters, all of them, came from those camps, but, for some unknown reason, banished (likely due to cancellation of the camps) to this void. I just want to mention this detail first. I'm going under the assumption that they had voices. This'll come into play later. The first would likely be Raisin, by a lot. Third, I'll guess, is Telescope, much later than Raisin. Why? Not sure. My guess is that Raisin and Telescope were exploring the void and Telescope wrote things down and such. Next would be Alef and Nabla. Nabla would likely bond with Telescope and sort of just share knowledge, as revealed in AIB 2(?) Alef is related to Nabla, so that's why they came together, but otherwise no connection. The order after this doesn't matter, IMO. 2. The War. Let's say a BUNCH more come to the void. More than there are competitors in AIB currently. By then, everyone comes into agreement that there needs to be some body of law. Raisin is elected eventually, due to being the longest staying in the void. They establish a small town, by unknown means (I mean, Recycling Bin's recycling thing in the pilot was odd. Where did the cans come from? Possibly linked.) Later, it's almost up to 3rd world country standards. Now, isn't it odd how it's just a yellowish-tan void they live in? Almost like it's just begging for crazy unfathomable creatures from other realms. Like a dimensional gateway. SUDDENLY, OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THAT. Now the AIB void is under attack from crazy creatures they are almost nowhere near prepared to fight. The cost of this war against some sinister godless evils? Their society. A majority of the population. Most impactfully, the ability to speak. To make noise. To communicate. That's why that small detail was mentioned. This also might explain why everyone hates Bone. He might be the remnant of a creature. A constant reminder as to the suffering. 3. Aftermath to AIB Raisin, traumatized by the costs of war, seeing his people die, with no method of recovery, resigns. Becomes similar to the Raisin we knew for 2 episodes. That's why he's so tired, out of touch, old, hurt. It's not just age. It's trauma. Pear, too. Only around ~60 people are still around. Nobody's even sure if the creatures are entirely gone. So, they resort to ignoring the suffering. Napping, RPS, recycling, other things. That's when Oodle comes around. Everyone's forgotten about the war, except Pear, recognizing that they were just massacred by extradimensional entities, yet everyone's trusting one. Everyone's eager, desperate to get out of the limbo state. The whole 3 AIB episodes occur. But in AIB 3... Bone's... well, y'know. Possessed. Maybe they're not safe. This one, Pear SNAPS. And, lo, how ironic, for he's Oodle's prisoner now. Not much else, except for the creature that fought Oodle. I suppose, as it turns out, those creatures aren't dead. Also, Bone's NONCHALANTNESS SUMMONING THAT DEMON (OR WHATEVER) YEAH TOTALLY NORMAL. Who knows what'll happen next. Anyway, that's all. LOVE this series. Super stoked. I'm willing to wait.

In my opinion, Alef got what he deserved in this episode. He's been constantly acting like a dick to the Nabla, even before the pilot I assume, due to the fact that they're cousins. The only reason why Alef shed a tear is because this is the first time he's been stood up to by his cousin, who he's used to having power over, when we can assume that Nabla has dealt with this so much to the point where she's barely reacting with anything other than annoyance and slight anger. Can't blame her for laughing at the first public humiliation his cousin had, as she finally got her way for once. It's something that's very easy to revel in. Though, even if Alef got what he deserved, I still feel bad for him. This is likely the first time he's ever had to deal with something like this. When you have had so much power, and all of a sudden lose it, it can be a very hard thing to deal with. I just hope they either settle their differences, or they learn to just give each other space.

Mmmm i love a good complex character. Take these for example: Pear: A lazy bum, yet he is aware of tension in relationships caused by the competition. Too bad he had to go. Nabla: The underdog of the family duo, who we finally get to see the darker side of. Alef: We finally got to see a more sympathetic side to our (least?) favorite Hebrew letter. He might have some toxic masculinity/ego, but he’s still a person too. Oodle: Oodle is very complex. He’s a lonely demigod who decided to make friends by hosting a competition with the locals of this universe, yet is unaware of the negative effects of his game. He craves companionship, yet is unaware of how his actions affect those around him
