I'm totally new to the custom bolt action/AICS mags game. I'd never heard of them until a few months ago. I "had" a Ruger American Ranch AR 300BLK that I didn't enjoy shooting. I'm mainly an AR/pistol/shotgun dude. I reload everything I shoot and *compete with (380, *9mm, *223, 300 Blackout, and *12ga). I recently got into 300 HAMR and bought a couple of Wilson Combat 11.3 and 16-inch barrels for upper builds. I really enjoy the addition velocity and accuracy over the 300 Blackout supers. Same mags, bolt, etc. It's just a barrel swap. Once I found out that Wilson Combat made a 300 HAMR conversion kit for the Ranch rifle, my wheels started turning. After doing some extensive research, I decided to do a near total modification of the Ranch rifle that turned out better than expected. • 16" Wilson Combat 300 HAMR RAR profile barrel • Anarchy Outdoors bolt handle and knob • MDT XRS FDE chassis • Timney trigger • SiCo Omega 9k suppressor • Primary Arms ACSS FFP 1-6x 300B LVPO • Harris bipod Aside from the barrel and trigger swap, the heart of the modification was a significant upgrade from the cheap plastic stock to the MDT XRS. This chassis system introduced me to the 223 MDT AICS mags. The MDT has a COAL of 2.5". Regular AR mags have a COAL of 2.260. The one redeeming quality of 300 Blackout supers was the ability to load the awesome 110/120gr TAC-TX (black tip) bullets. However, in 300 HAMR loaded for an AR mag, the bullet is way too long. In the 223 MDT AICS mags, a cartridge with that bullet will easily fit in the mag (COAL 2.46), smoothly cycle, and safely chamber and fire in the 300 HAMR with consistent subMOA accuracy. Short story long... The MDT chassis AND AICS magazine upgrade made my custom bolt gun possible.

Got a couple MDT AICS for my Ruger 6.5C. They work! AND are well made. They are not cheap, that's for sure- but work smooth as glass.

Bought the aics mags with the KRG bravo chassis (AICS and CTR compatible for my tikka from you guys. The mad feeds for 2 rounds and then falls out…..

Please reach out to our customer service. The Bravo of the tikka has two versions one that works with AICS and one that works with the CTR mags.

If my mdt lss chassis is LA for 300 win mag and I swap barrels and bolt to 308 can I use 308 Aics mags in the same chassis?

No the mags are different lengths. You could most likely us the 308 in the 300 win mag magazine.

So if I’m running 300prc in my Ruger precision rifle it should fit with 300 WM PMAG correct?

Yes. I would get longest ones they make.

I think the 300 WM (Win Mag, not Weatherby) magazine works with the 7mm PRC as both fit a long (30-06 length) action. If I'm not mistaken, 300 PRC requires a magnum length action and corresponding magazine. PMAG AC L states cartridges up to 3.50". 300 PRC COAL is 3.7"

Inferior magazine compared to arctic warfare mags imo really wish more chassis used them

Most chassis with accept AW mags, but the action has to be cut to accept them. There are a lot of good options on the market that use AW mags.

I hate hate hate AICS magazines. I prefer the AW double stack double feed. They are MUCH simpler to load and unload. AICS are horrible compared to AW mags.
