And considering last year he was double teamed for most of the season because there wasn't anyone opposite him to provide pressure. With this retooling of the D-Line, its about to be crazy.

Ok. For the millionth time. A double team is when a guy has 2 different hands on him by the opponent AT ANY POINT on a play. A guy can be contacted 15 yards down field. And that still goes down as a double. This is the dumbest thing fans repeat. They heard it once and think teams are loading up to stop Hutchinson. All it really means is he is being contacted at the LOS and running after plays. It’s not something to be proud of unless a guy is making like 25 sacks a season on top of it Whoopie. Hutchinson gets blocked a lot. Wonderful.

I think we're going to have to remember a few things about this team and get used to it (also if you're a fRed Wings fan) all these young guns are still going to have a learning curve. it may take a minute for some but they'll get it....Or they'll be gone. Holmes and Company saw something in them.

Sooooo. 8 sacks in 5 games. Or you could also say he had just 2 sacks in a 10 week period. He was terrible at times. But I said he would disappear for long stretches the day he was drafted. So no big shock.

@@thomaswatkins3686 Every other team would kill to have him on their team. Elite DE's are not common. Hes 23 years old. I hate jew of M but Hutch is really good and he will be great. Who said he is as good as Nick Bosa? Nick B is the best in the league

That's what I'm talking about my man brought the Stats to back up the argument. I love watching ppl try and bring hutch down with yearly overall stats and leave out when it really matters!

Great comment. Hutch has it in him. Once he learns from the best D Line coach he should be able to get 15 plus sacks and pressure. Only a Non Lions comment comes from someone jealous and what the Lions have.

I wished I could have your guys's blind Faith with Hutchinson. I like the kid but he's only put together like nine games of good tape. He needs to put together a full season of great football before I am in love with this kid. All you UM fans are just blinded by your love. If you didn't like that college, it'd be harder on this kid like me dude needs to show up and show out this year

He was the only rookie in NFL history to get at least 7.5 sacks, 3 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries in a season, I'm by no means saying have blind faith in him but he's pretty damn impressive and the numbers do show that Edit: I suppose it's relevant to state I'm a Lions fan in Vancouver and not a UM guy whatsoever

Hutchinson is a beast. He's going to be dominating this year. He gave an interview about his leg being injured for seven weeks after catching an interception last year and getting his leg blindsided. And I don't watch college football, so that's not it.

He looks like he'll be a mutli-year Pro-Bowler, but I don't think he'll reach the All-Pro level.
