It’s odd due to the fact people like you and me actually gave him a chance. Love his character, partly also because I can see certain aspects of myself in him. Like wanting to be strong, responsible as well as supportive for my family. And when I say strong, I don’t mean literally killing people like fecking psychopath 😂. But more in a metaphorical sense: Aiden is smart, quick, disciplined and determined in achieving his goals. He always finds a way to conquer the battles he undertakes. Aiden isn’t perfect, but that’s what makes him perfect throughout his imperfection. I think we all need to have a bit of Aiden Pearce drive and fight in us, Aiden never back downs from a battle, he undertakes them in an intelligent and prepared manner which in my opinion makes him admirable. If you really experience him, and look into him and his character. He’s more than just a one dimensional human being. Despite of course also being a complete badass. I want to be a badass just like him, though it’ll throughout my own battles. Love his determination. If you’ve read this, hope it gave you a new perspective on both life and Aiden as a character. Aiden's sense of justice and mercy co-mingled together with his vengeful aspect of his personality is who he was at the core. What drove him to find out who was responsible for his niece's death was his sense of justice combined with his anger (Some may even say his vengeful side). I always liked Aiden Pierce he is my favorite watch_dogs character.

I think that it's through a misunderstanding of the character. Aiden Pierce can be pretty intense at times and that could be all people see. When Watch_dogs first came out some people I talked to said that most of everyone they talked to about Aiden Pierce said he was a tool. I disagree and at the time disagreed with that statement. If they had payed attention when playing the game they would have seen and heard about his struggle or conflict within him. Aiden Pierce, in my opinion, is about Justice, Mercy, and Punishment or Vengeance upon those that are corrupt. The man is persistent, he's like a Pitbull on a pant leg he won't let go till he gets what he wants. That in and of itself indicates an aggressive personality that in combination with Aiden's sense of Justice and Vengeance and you have the ingredients for the perfect storm, so to speak. As well I believe that he in one way or another possibly blamed himself for his niece's death. That guilt wrapped up in who Aiden is at the core and you have a vigilante.

Its cause Watch Dogs Fans found him too edgy, vengeful, and tragic. But years later they finally understood/understand him cause of the 1 game Sad/violent/tragic story compared to WD 2 + Legion 🙂

I hate it when Ubisoft used to wrote lines like “I clean up mess like you” and “l don't look back” for Aiden, then conveniently killed off his Vigilante route with “nah nah im too tired with my guilt to Lena i gonna bury the Vigilante and stay with my family” cliche in Legion, like, would anyone feels happy if Bruce Wayne said similar thing? Yet people all seems happy about how Aiden can finally let go even though he already did this in the WD1. He already looked forward back in 2013, it shouldn't be the case for regret in Legion

Ubisoft really had a very good engine back in 2014, the advent of PS4 and One X made them highly ambitious resulting games like Assassin's Creed Unity and first Watch Dogs, sadly their ambition was too much for PS4 and One X to handle. This might be one of the reasons for their downfall. Ubisoft was like mini Rockstar then during 2007-14 ish.
