For my Platinum playthrough when I saw Jaden's version of platinum and the distortion world I was like 😮 is that part of the main game so I played and when I got to the distortion world and beat giratina, carried on and thought it was at the end of the game as a bonus thing but couldn't get to the end because the first guy of the elite four (and that was me without using cheats.....and you would think I would go back and use cheats) that's when I realized I've been had (you probably don't care)

Fun fact that thing about the 48 or 47 or 46 Merill is… wait let me start off with this those Merill have a specific IV that IV gives them extra health and zipzapzop gained Hp IV’s by killing those Merill that made ZipZapZop tank the hit with Alteria so if you want to save your Nuslock then train on Merill P.S any other water type Pokémon then it’s game over
