She actually didn’t use this rule as she put Gary in the box after seeing the minimal damage he was doing she most likely only used the Pokémon in her current team because they were higher level

Btw you don’t have to wait until something dies to swap them out, she just kept the lower level Pokemon in the box which led up to all of the grinding. She also kept Groudon in the box because usually the legendary Pokémon give an unfair advantage and may lead to you having to rearrange some of the Pokémon on your team.

Ok So basically the rules of a nuzlocke are. If a pokemon dies it faints, if your whole team faints the run is over, you can only catch the first pokemon on every route, and you can rotate your team around with new pokemon. But you can modify the rules to have the most fun

Zipzapzop survived cause of all the Marill it beat up. Different pokemon can give things called 'Effort Values' or EVs when you beat them, which, in simple terms, boost your base stats. Marill drops HP EVs so with the number of Marill she killed she gained a ton of HP EVs (possibly maxing them out)

All of Jaiden's Pokemon Nuzlockes are worth watching. I hope you react to them. There is a remake of Pokemon Ruby on the 3DS Pokemon ORAS (Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire). It's really good. I didn't start playing Pokemon until I was 35 with Pokemon X and Y. The 3DS Pokemon games are great. Except for Sword and Shield, I like the Pokemon 3DS games more than the Switch games.

Robert with Nuzlockes you can normally switch Pokémon out for others, and don’t have to die. Also if Robert were to do a Nuzlocke, a few bits of advice. Don’t go into the game blindly, make sure you know where all possible encounters are, and don’t make your first nuzlocke from gen 4 or gen 4 remakes. I did a nuzlocke last year in Shining Pearl, and the leveling made it easier, but the Elite Four is much harder than the old one. It has minimizing, baton pass, drifblim, stall milotics, and competitive battle items. I did Shining Pearl as my first nuzlocke I committed to, and,actually, I don’t know how but I only lost my Bronzong named Coin to Cynthia’s Milotic. But many poketubers I’ve seen die to the Elite Four. So don’t pick gen 4.

for those who don't know, zip zap zop survived the earthquake because merrals have a thing called an hp somethin or whatever they call it that when ever you level up a pokemon with specific thing like the hp thingy or an attack thingy it levels up that stat more than normal so zip zap zop got enough hp to survive earthquake

ok, this comment explains it perfectly, but i'm just gonna use proper terminology: Each pokemon has a specific EV, or effort values, they give when defeated. Each six of them adds an extra stat point upon level up, up to a maximum of 255 EV points per stat. Marill give one HP EV, so ZipZapZop had higher than average, and could survive the earthquake.. Barely.

15:00 Just to confirm, that's not a rule. You can check the official Nuzlocke rules in Bulbapedia. Nowhere does it mention you can't switch Pokemon in the PC. You might be confused with set/switch style, where you can allow yourself to not be given the option to switch your Pokémon when you defeat an opponents and they still have one or more Pokémon, though even that is still an optional rule.

Most popular rules for a nuzlocke: 1. If a Pokémon faints it Dies 2. A whiteout (full team wipe) means the run is over and you have to restart from the beginning 3.Naming your Pokémon to get attached 4.level caps (no overleveling for major battles) 5.Shiny Clause (if you find a shiny, you are allowed to catch it) 6. The whole thing about a nuzlocke is that everyone can pick which rules they want to add or take away, so it can be as hard or as easy as the player wants it to be. The only three rules that matter are the first encounter rule, the nickname rule and the death rule. All other rules are optional, so in the situation of a team wipe, some people might choose to build a new team using Pokemon in the box so they can try to continue the game, and that would go on until they either won the nuzlocke or until they ran out of Pokemon in the box. In the same situation others will start over from the beginning after a team wipe regardless as to whether they have any Pokemon in their box or not. At the end of the day, small details like that are all up to the person doing the nuzlocke. If you ever decide to attempt a nuzlocke I would definitely recommend looking into all the optional rules and deciding which ones you want to use, some people even make their own rules so you could do that also.

fun fact; why zipzapzop lived a 4x super effective 100 bp earthquake from winona's altaria was because of a hidden mechanic called Effort values. EVs are a boost in a stat of your pokemon. marill have HP evs. so jaidens magneton had enough hp to live the earthquake and survive on 2 hp. also altaria isnt a ground type so no power boost for that ground type move.

just saying, you CAN change your team without ones dying. what happened with corn is that all of them were good in battle. so she didn't want to swap them at that point in time. you can see this where she replaces gary with sin. no one died for that to change. also yes, you HAVE to start over if all your pokemon die in battle. these are the aspects: - catch first pokemon on each route - pokemon faints, it dies - have to nickname - if you black-out (having your whole team get killed), you restart.

Between Jaiden's 3 Nuzlockes, I'd say that the 2 player Nuzlocke is my favorite. That is her 3rd one. Before jumping into that one, I'd advise watching Alpharad's Nuzlockes first. Just to get a better undersanding of him. (Although, be warned that there is a certain scene in his first Nuzlocke that has become rather infamous at this point.)

Based on my knowledge, you can shift around your teams to fight different opponents in nuzlockes. You dont need to stay with the same team. To the team wipe question, you CANNOT load an old save if you wiped. You will have to start over. You can be on the Elite Four and start over again due to a wipe. You can use Legendary Pokemon in a nuzlocke, but players don't do that because it is basically overpowered.

Depending on the type of Nuzlocke (mostly meaning the type of content you're making from the Nuzlocke), a wipe generally either means you're done (you failed), or that you start from the beginning with a new starter.

hardest Pokémon nuzlocke rules I know: catch first Pokémon per route, nickname all Pokémon, Pokémon faints it dies, cannot over level, use each Pokémon center only once, no potions during battle,(only outside of battle) whole team dies=lose run(if you want to continue the nuzlocke you have to restart the whole game), and maybe some others I haven't mentioned yet

The core Nuzzlocke rules are as Jaiden says: Catch 1st pokemon you see in each area. (Gifted pokemon, fossils, and pokemon caught in cities counts towards this. IE: reviving a Helix Fossil counts as Pewter City, the Eevee or Rocket Game Corner in Celadon, ect. If the first encounter is a double battle, you get to chose which one to catch.) Nickname your pokemon. Your pokemon gets KO'd, it dies and you can't use it. (You can either release it, but most players go to a Pokemon Center and put it into a box labelled as a graveyard.) Nearly universally used rules: You cannot voluntarily reload the game when things go wrong. Cheating devices (such as gameshark) cannot be used. A Black Out/White Out (Full Team Wipe) is a loss, even if you have pokemon in the storage system. There are other optional rules and clauses as well that could be added. Using a legendary pokemon is optional, but most tend not to. The Dupe Clause - If the first pokemon you see on the route is one you already have, you can ignore it and catch the next one. The Shiny Clause - If you find a shiny pokemon, you are allowed to catch it, due to how rare it is to find a shiny during a normal playthrough. Whether you use it or not is up to you. Levelling Rule - Your pokemon cannot surpass the level of the next gym leader you are about to go against. Field Move Rule - If you have NO pokemon that is able to learn a field move (Such as Surf, Strength, ect) either in party or in storage, you may catch one for sake of using that move, however you cannot use it in battle and must be released/boxed as soon as it is no longer needed. Safari Zone - The "First Encounter Only" rule is modified for the Safari Zone (and similar areas.) You can use EITHER: 1. The encounter may be used for each area (area 1, area 2, ect) OR one encounter for the ENTIRE safari zone. For Diamond/Pearl remakes - There are several ways to handle Sinnoh Underground. Use one of these. 1. First pokemon per Underground section. 2. First pokemon per room 3. First pokemon per room type (ie, 1 for Dazzling Cave, 1 for Volcanic Cave, ect) 4. One pokemon from the entire underground. 5. One Pokemon from the Underground per gym badge.

If you wipe in a Pokémon Nuzlocke, which is when all your Pokémon die in one battle, you lose the run and have to restart from the beginning, also you can replace your Pokémon whenever you want in a nuzlocke, you don’t have to wait for a Pokémon to die to replace them.

I would like to see you react to Jaiden’s platinum Nusloucke next also while you may have missed out on Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald you can catch up with Gen 3 by placing the remakes that can out in Gen 6 OmegaRuby or AlPha Sapphire.
