I think this was a super-interesting rendition, and one of the highlights of the show! She definitely made this her own and added a unique flair to the song with some sultry, yet emotional vocals, kinda like Janis Joplin meets Robert Smith! Lorde+Nirvana should be an easy home run, but it just....doesn't work. At least not here, not the way they did it. The song is out of her range in the lows and she sounds stuffy, like she has a cold, wich doesn't help. They should have rearranged the song a bit more to fit her singing style or choosen a song that suits her range better. I get why they went with Lorde and not for example Lana Del Rey (especially in light of Francis response to some of Lanas comments...) but with her Heart shaped box cover she really nailed it. She (and her band) transported it to fit her range and that allowed her to make it her own, they should have done something similar for Lorde.
