Every credit to Lorde. She’s visibly shy as she walks out on stage. Who wouldn’t be shy going on stage with Dave and Krist to perform this song at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame?! At 00:36 when Dave comes in with the drums, you can see something switches inside her, she gets in the zone and she becomes completely immersed in the music. She’s not just singing, she’s feeling the music. As soon as the song ends she goes back into her shell and becomes visibly shy again. People calling her moves have only ever listened to music and never truly felt a piece of music and that’s a shame for them. This performance is brilliant. For 3 minutes Lorde gave it her all and let Dave and Krist’s music take over her and paid a great homage to Kurt. She has my respect.

Lorde is a great singer. My qualms are that she doesn't have a rasp, which the song lacks. Also her voice is way to deep, so deep in fact that there is no clarity or enunciation to speak of. No one can sing this song like Kurt, obviously, but these are my criticisms. This was the wrong song for her to cover. I don't agree with people saying she can't sing. I just think she could have sung a haunting version of Back to Black by Amy Winehouse or Mercy by Duffy. I would have loved to hear her sing a song more along those lines.

You will find that most English speaking countries pronounce "all" with a a low "a" sound (similar to an "o" sound). America and Canada are really the only exception to this, however this doesn't mean that she says "oil apologies" or it even sounds like that. It's just NA english speakers don't seem to understand that people can speak differently to them and still be saying the same thing.

Yup, couldn't agree more. You find this a lot with the Nirvana fanbase, they are really cringey perfectionists that hate on anything that isn't exactly like Kurt or Grunge, and it leaves a bad name on people like us. So what if she doesn't bring the harshness of Kurt's voice? It's a cover, not a straight copy of the original recording. Otherwise they would just play Kurt's vocals over it. I think she did amazing, and this has to be one of the best covers of a song, ever. It's great, it's fresh and it still sounds amazing.
