Man I just stumbled upon your website this week after mainly hearing people recommend Eastern Woods Outdoors or Custom Amsteel Products. I must say you’re highly underrated and love how transparent you are with your customers. Not to mention you have them both beat on Daisy Chain prices by about $5-$7 each. These videos help a ton. You have a new a lifelong customer. Thanks sir!

Much appreciated. I will keep an eye out for the video. Those are some sharp edges.

They are not as sharp as people make them out to be though I do understand the concerns. It also may vary between stick to stick as they are manufactured so maybe some variation exist. Also different amsteels have different abrasion characteristics. There are companies who are not using amsteel blue which is a proprietary coating on it. It is all a form of dyneema fiber but amsteel blue is specific and is a higher cost which is why you see alot of guys claim amazon is cheaper. Some of these “professionals” will use the cheaper dyneema without the coating and charge you the consumer maybe a little less but its fractional. With all that though we still should be checking our gear. What your looking for are fibers cut not the fuzz that is commonly seen with use!

Do the steps close well with these attached?

What do you mean by close? If you want to see them in action I would reference this video on my channel How I Climb (Brief Overview) kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3ylfpWVr694ldU

Are there any concerns about running the Amsteel across the sharp edges of the Skeletors?
@vitalgroundoutdoors Жыл бұрын
There is always a concern to be fair! The skeletor aiders that I make have a thinner loop than the other aiders I make but that is solely because guys like to run them through the holes. I have yet to have anyone have an issue with my aiders but would encourage two things. First you can lightly bevel the 90 degree edge using a small file. This would be lightly dont want to go crazy with a dremel. The last thing is to monitor and check your gear frequently which is advised no matter what your using. I will be doing a video soon on the tools and methods I use to smooth out these areas soon!

How long will it take for your boots to wear out the part at the top?
@vitalgroundoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Under normal hunting frequency say 4-5 days a week these should last 2-3 years. However, you should be inspecting your gear regularly to ensure your safety. I stand by all my products and test everything. What you should be looking at is if any strands are cut. Amsteel can have a fraying look when worn but that is normal. What should concern you is if full strands are cut then that would be the time to replace your gear!
