Main lyricists I see on that level are Cole, Kendrick, Cordae, and a few others but there are many MC’s that deserve to be heard more. Griselda, Royce (Who’s now Grammy nominated), KXNG Crooked, Token, Jarred Benton, and plenty others. Hip Hop needs it’s roots to have light shown upon them. Not saying get rid of simpler shit but we need a balanced culture to provide longevity for itself. If it’s only radio shit at the mainstream level, then new people will eventually stop listening. I want Hip Hop to continue to grow. It’s done so much for so many people.
