Guys sorry for not testing the Aura Sync. I didn't know that these fans only had a 3 pin RGB connector and not the standard 4 pin RGB connector. However, most importantly now u guys know and wont make my none kosher mistake lol my bad.

U would need a 3 pin rgb connector to make the aura sync work.

@@KosherTech You need the 3 pin, because that's the Asus Sync 5v Addressable header, 4pin rgb headers are 12v, and not addressable... at least in ASUS land... not sure if that's true across all boards, but that's what I've been able to come up with in my research.

It's really confusing and I wish manufacturers would make it clearer what's going on, and how pictures of all the cable ends and what the motherboard headers look like... that would help a lot of people to get up to speed more quickly.

3 pin is for Adressable RGB(ARGB) which uses a different type of connection controlling each led seperately

It's 3 pin because they are addressable RGBs. I think going forward most new motherboards will include addressable rgb headers (3 pin). It's just more flashy and stylish than the 4 pin

I bought a 5 140mm fan kit and I'm very pleased with it so far. It syncs up with my MSI Z590 Carbon motherboard using MSI Mystic light controls and the Rainbow MB connector. My MB connector has a single pin ( in a 3 pin plug) that I have no clue where to plug it in? Doesn't seem to affect anything.

I have these they are really nice and you can control fan speed with the controller. All animations are controllable with the remote. Not sure what others were complaining about. It's a great deal and they are super quiet. And just to mention Darkflash sells replacement single fans for this remote setup if one ever burned out. Only $12.99.

I just got a 5 pack from Ebay of darkflash aigos for $30 something bucks. They look better irl. The camera shows the hotspots but irl you cant ser them unless you stare. They were easy to install. The velcro it comes with is a little cheap cant support the weight well but it works. I'm happy with these so far they are super quiet I could barely hear them with the window off. EDIT: The fans have started giving some issues. It could be my power supply i guess. but they fail to spin most of the times. I have to blow on them or give them a tap.

Just got 7 of these today and Lian Li O11 Evo case.. I have got the PC running and these fans are brilliant, connected to the hub + on the light strip port I connect my Lian Li 240 Galahad fans and pump LED's are working perfectly in Asus Aura mode.

Need some help here, I have cpu water cooling with 2 radiators, I have already got fans for them but want to add rgb 1) can I push and pull the radiator with the rgb ontop and 2) can I plug the rgb control box into my other control box for my normal fans so the computer controls fan speeds of all the cpu fans ?

Hi, I have an 5v Add_Header. But do I need to press the button M/B Sync everytime I want to sync my fans with the software? Because under Asus Aura Sync I understand that I only need to adjust the lights in the software and than they are showing up on the fans, and not to press any additional Buttons to make it work. A good Review :), sad that your Mobo dosent have an 5v add header, but these headers are the future thats why they are on all newer mobos z370-z390 and on the upcomming mobo's, they are also used by so many companies now. I got these, they are really nice. But I like the other version you reviewed before. They had better color effects than these. But these do have speed control and are pretty quiet. The other set for some reason stopped working correctly. Some fans would be on one effect, others would be on another. And yet one or two fans not be lit. All running just not correct lighting. I kept them in case these burn out and see if they straighten up. Nice review.

My new (ASUS ROG STRIX X570-I) mother board has what they call GEN 2 Aura. It has two headers: one is labeled "ADD GEN 2". It is a 4 terminal (one pin is not used (addressable)) the other header is labeled "RGB_HEADER" and has 4 pins. So I have no clue as to if the 4 pin (one pin missing is considered a 3 pin or if I have something entirely different. The link you provided takes me to the fans, but they appear to be different than the ones you reviewed. Yours have more white LED area on both sides of the fan than the ones in the link. ??

Unfortunately not. I'm not sure if Amazon sells converter cables which go from 5vlot to 12 but there isn't any other which I know of. There is no such "Adaptor" from 4-pin to 3-pin, because its 12V Analog 3 Channel (4-Pin) VS 5v Digital Singlechannel (3-Pin) They are not just physically incompatible, they are electrical incompatible, too. (tehere are some 12V Digital Stripes out there, but only Gigabyte Boards can manage those, they have a jumper, which is to choose betweeen 5v or 12v. No other brand offers that, only Gigabyte..
