Excellent video . I too have been to this magical place . We took the amazing very scary cable car across the valle blanche to the Courmeyer side too . An unforgettable day that lives long in my memory . Some great food available in Chamonix too . Went to Zermatt afterwards , another fairytale place . I must go back one day as I fell in love with this region

If you was in Zermatt, how would you compare the small Matterhorn with the Aiguille du Midi?

Well, it's really hard to compare. I my opinion both are magnificent and both have their owne differential. Little Matterhorn has an Ice Palace and you can walk on the top of the glacier and in my opinion, the cable car isn't so crowded. The Aiguille du Midi has a panoramic gondola, more wievpoint to the surronding area, and there is the "Step to the Void" glass box, but the cable car is too crowded. If I would have to rate from 1 to 10, I would give for both 10.

​​​​@@swissactiontv5128 - If you are in Zermatt you are impressed by this astounding pyramid Seen from the city, when you are in Cham you are impressed by what you see upstairs AT Aiguille du midi, both are great but differents. To go to Matterhorn Peak you have to be an alpinist, to go to Aiguille du midi you Can be just a tourist with the téléphérique. I should compare Aiguille du midi with the Jungfrau joch and the wonderful glacier site of Concordia platz. 👋🏻😊🖖🏻🙂

I love Chamonix! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. Brought back many fond memories. My wife and I were there last year and hiked the tour du Mt. Blanc. Best hamburger sandwich ever at Poco Loco! Courmayer was beautiful also. Stayed at Hotel Lo Scoiattolo, then got Covid and had to convalesce for 2 weeks which cut my vacation short and had to return home to the states. I hope to get back there again someday.

C'était l'été 1968, j'avais 16 ans, j'étais à Cham pour faire un stage à l' hotel Albert 1er et nous avions décidé de monter à l'aiguille du midi avec un ami. Arrivé là haut à 3800 m nous avons découvert le panorama unique du mont Blanc, de la vallée blanche et la raideur de l'arête de neige qui mène au glacier du géant. Il y avait moins de touristes qu'aujourd'hui. Mais quelle découverte là-haut ! C'est ce qui m'a décidé à faire de la montagne plus tard. 🖖🏻😊👋🏻😄🏔️🧗🏻‍♀️❄️

Je souhaite faire de l'alpinisme, mais malheureusement j'ai peur des hauteurs. C'est pourquoi je cherche des occasions de monter en montagne avec des téléphériques et de faire une petite randonnée juste au sommet, si possible. Il est vrai qu'aujourd'hui, il y a beaucoup de monde à l'Aiguille du Midi, mais la vue vaut bien de souffrir un peu avec les téléphériques. Je suis heureux(se) que tu aimes ma vidéo.

I've taken this visit yesterday. If you do not mind being jammed packed into a cable car like sardines you will love the ride up to the top - and again back down. My only complaint: the extreme excessive overcrowding!

Hi Gr Br You have absolutely right, the cable car is absolutely crowded, but at least the landscape is spectacular from up there. Nothing else was bother me too, just the crowdedness. Sometimes we have to compromise to get to the best places we want to visit, this cable car is one of them. Except for this, I'm pretty sure you enjoyed the rest. Have a nice day. Regards Joe

I am planning a trip in May and happen to see your video! You did a very nice walkthrough of the place! Is it advisable to book the chamonix tix only at the box office ? How about the helbronner tix ? I am a little confused by the website as there are alot of options to choose from.

Hi Edgar Just to let you know, you can buy your multiday pass tickets online, and I'm sure you can also buy at close to the entrance. The multiday pass does not include the Helbronner ticket, to be honest, I don't remember where exactly I bought it, I think you can buy it by the ticket office by the entrance or up on the Aiguille du Midi. You need to know you have to book your gondola time starting by the entrance ticket office, is not enough just the multipass. There is a gondola every 15 minutes if I remember well. If I remember correctly, the Helbronner ticket was 35 EUR, but like the previous one, this is also a great experience. It's actually a small cabin that takes you from the summit of the Auguille Du Midi to the summit of Helbronner in about 30 minutes to enjoy the view of the surrounding 4000 m mountains, including MontBlanc and a glacier stretching below you about 200 meters below. Best mountain lift experience of my life. I bought a Multiday ticket which includes unlimited access to the Auguille Du Midi and all other cable cars and the two small railways nearby, I think it's much more worth it. I bought it online from this site after receiving a QR code, then in Chamonix there are machines near the lift from which you can redeem the multi-day card, but there is also a ticket office and Information point on site. I bought the Helbronner ticket on the spot at the ticket office. @ You can use it for everithing for the lenght you buy it. So if you buy for example for 3 days you can go and use for everythig that is operating on those days ( unlimited) There is a 4D little cinema movie by the Auguille du Midi station in Chamonix and with that ticket you can get a discount and is realy funy. I'm not sure maybe 12EUR or samething. Try it I think you will like it too.

Oh I forgot, ask your host to give you that fillout litthe card with the accomodation adress and then you can use the train for free between La Fayet and Vellorcine To get to Chamonix is the easyest way from Geneva by bus. It cost just 15 EUR at least that was on 2022.

Hello Layla, Unfortunately, the Mont Blanc Multipass Pass not including the Pointe Helbronner ticket is an additional 35€‎ will cost you per person but it is worth I promise, and if you go there I recommend you to go down at least to the middle station from Helbronner to the Saussurea Alpine Botanical Garden by Skyway Monte Bianco gondola that is another 38€‎ and also worth any cent. You should go with the earliest gondola from Chamonix up to the Aquille du midi if you want to enjoy the Helbronner panoramic gondola and the botanic garden as the last gondola from pointe Helbronner comes back at 3:30 pm. Visit these three places will take you a full day if you really want to enjoy it without rushing. Don't forget to ask the owner of the accommodation to give you all a small paper card "La carte d'hôte: Chamonix Mont Blanc" that gives you access to use the train for free between Vallorcine and Saint Gervais - Le Fayet together with the Multipass. It is so many things there that you can explore, do some good research before you go, or if you would like I will give you some more advice. I was there 8 days and I still left lots of places unexplored. Check the links that I attached to the video, you can find much information. I wish you a good journey. Regards Joe

Dear Layla, I forgot to tell you, despite you having the Multipass ticket that is valid for all the cable cars, the Aiguille du midi cable car is so crowded you should book an appointment in the office next to it. The cable car runs every 15 or 30 minutes depending on traffic, I just checked the summer timetable. From 4 July to 28 August 2022, 1st ascent is 6:10 AM the last descent is 6:00 PM. If I would be you I would book the cable car in advance for the next day to the next day at least 8:00 AM, to have time to visit all those things that I mentioned before. Regards Joe

Üdvözlet a magyaroknak..Utoljára franciaban toulouse mellett 80.km.re laktam egy Auch nevu szornyu helyen. Se időm se pénzem nem volt erre a helyre eljutni. Messziről láttam a franciak sokat lelkendeztek róla. Viszont jártam az Alpokban biciklivel 2800 me.en a maginot vonal jó kis bunkereit kívülről megnevezése. Akkor még voltak hegyi vadászok sorkatonak is igy nem volt se drog útvonal ott migrik meg plane nem akkoriban.Mert nappal dzsippel jöttek gyakran este meg gyalogos örök is voltak mint a kis sz.bernard hágón hol beton Y alakú hatalmas betondarabok védték a határt.Az utlevel ellenőrzése egy bunki ablakán át volt hova falepcson lehetet feljutni. A spanyol hataron egy pici beton bunkibol jött ki 2 spanyol hataror.Regi szép idők mikor meg volt rend europaban.Nyugodtan állattal a hegyekben barhol hálózsák an sátorban akár tengerparton is.De ma...csak drága hotelek mindenfelé..Hova tűntek a falusi kis nem túl komfortos hotelek franciaban europaban??45 €vet eldegeltem franciaban..mit mondjak .....elég volt!! Mennyire visszafejlodtek a baratsagossag terén...mikor hóesésben gyalogolt novemberben a collie tourmalet..ben lefelé a falusi pék meleg helyet adott aludni..kenyeret....Az autostopos időszakokban sokszor a sofőr meghívott a házába. Hotelt fizetett..vendéglő.35 eve a turisták a hegyekben kaját adtak autoval elvittek egy faluig.Este 11 kor lehetett stoppozni..meg akkor meg sokféle volt vonat mi jól jött este.Ma már nincs a hegyi falvakhoz vonat minek vonalat benotte a növényzet.. Csak a gazdagok jutnak el mindenfelé.Az olasz..francia..spanyol tengerparton meg telen is volt olcsóbb szállás.Ma sok megszunt mindenhol a draga szállás. Voltak kamionos szállás is .pl.spanyolban a somosierra kamionos szállás.Altalaban a kamionos..autós sofőr fizette q pár pezetas szállás Kajával.akkor europa mindenkié volt..de ma??????%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Hát igen, sajnos manapság nem lehet úgy járni Európában, hogy az embernek nem kell költenie legalább napi 30€ összeget. Szerettem volna előbb eljutni ide, de sajnos évtizedekig csak álomnak tűnt, de szerencsére sikerült. Azért remélem, hogy nem csak a gazdagok tudnak eljutni hasonló helyekre, hiszen én sem tartozom közéjük. Nem mondom hogy két fillérembe került az egy hetes itt tartózkodásom, hiszen mint ahogy ön is említette mostanra Európa megoldotta, hogy semmi ne legyen csak úgy ingyen vagy szabad. Azért némi előre tervezéssel és utánajárással sokkal olcsóbban ki lehet egy efféle utat hozni, mint sokan gondolnák. Bárcsak megint lehetne stoppolni úgy hogy még az ember ételét és esetleg szállását kifizetné a sofőr, aki felvesz vagy a vendéglős, ahova betérek meghív egy tál ételre vagy legalább lenne olcsó buszjárat a hegyi falvakba, de sajnos nincs. Manapság a barátság nagy kincs és sajnos kevés ember az aki még tud bízni a másikban és nem csak méricskéli a másikat, hogy mi az amiért éppen őt is utálni lehet. Nekem szerencsére vannak barátaim, igaz nem sok, de ők éppen elegek nekem, mert tudom, hogy ha rossz passzban vagyok, legalább egyikük mindig meghallgat, persze ez érvényes oda-vissza. Sajnos a világ amelyben élünk teszi ilyenné az embereket, legtöbbjük elvakult, és elhisz mindent amit a hírekben lát, és gyanakvóvá, iriggyé változik. Nem csak hogy segíteni nem akar egy másik emberen, hanem még inkább keresi a lehetőséget, hogy hol tud jól belerúgni. Vannak akiknek megadatik, hogy könnyen jutnak hozzá dolgokhoz és vannak akiknek küzdeniük kell, hogy az alapvető dolgokat is megkapják. Ha szabad ezt mondanom én sem az első táborba tartozom, de már nem is rágódom ezen, mert az túl sok energiát emésztene fel bennem.
